Longest LD I've had yet, lucid for about an hour real time, felt more like three in dream time.
So I'm riding an ATV in the arctic on snow packed so hard its basically ice. The further I ride, the rougher the terrain gets, climbing small hills and jumping crevasses. Eventually my ATV gets stuck in a small crevasse. I climb out and work my way up a ridge. When I get to the top the ground stops in front of me and clouds stretch out as far as I can see. Just barely poking through the cloud cover are flat topped pillars of ice about 6-ft in radius. These pillars are constantly moving from side to side, ascending and descending as they go. I decide to jump on one and ride it as it goes down. I descend through the cloud cover and break through the other side to see a city sprawling out before me. The pillar I'm riding on starts to topple over, so I jump to another. Then another, and another, until I'm close to the ground. On my last jump I slip, falling about 30 feet into a snow berm below.
I wake up in a hospital on the outskirts of the city. Winter has thawed, all traces of the ice are gone, leaving behind only green grass and a rocky mountain in the distance. The hospital staff tells me I have been in a coma, and when I look in the mirror I look about 30 years older. I start freaking out, and decide to perform an RC. Sure enough, I'm dreaming and lucidity begins.
I don't have time to dwell on this though as my subconscious has turned on me and the DC's are now chasing me and attacking me. Still lucid, I start using my superpowers against them. Though it doesn't work every time, my telekinesis is stronger than its ever been. I'm able to lift DC's with ease, moving them around in the air, force pushing them into into each other and clear over buildings. Attempts at conjuring prove unsuccessful, except for the fire bomb I produced at one DC, setting him ablaze, then telekinetically slamming him into another DC. With more and more chasing after me I try to fly away. The first few attempts are unsuccessful, but once I get into the air I swim around with ease.
The dream calms down here as I'm swimming through the air. I sporadically perform RC's to keep myself lucid, but don't really take advantage of my lucidity. Instead, I spend the rest of the time exploring the surreal world I was in.
Two LD's tonight.
The first was towards the end of a long NLD. I was driving in traffic in my golf cart making a left turn at an intersection when someone crashed into me. It flung me to the ground and laying next to me was my dad in the middle of a pile of cardboard boxes saying something to me in a mumbled voice. At this point I'm thinking this doesn't make sense, so I performed an RC and became lucid. I used voice commands and anchored myself quite well. I would continue to do this a few times throughout the dreams. I don't remember too much of this one because I was too tired to actually wake up and write it down when I woke up. Next thing I remember I'm in an office building walking through hallways, still lucid. I started talking to a DC and they told me there was something wrong with my lip. I went looking for a mirror. At first I looked at my reflection in a window and saw that my upper lip was swollen and would occasionally start bleeding, gross. Then I thought, "well the TOTM is for looking in a mirror, not a window, maybe this doesn't count." So I went looking for a mirror. I came across a kitchen that a had a mirror for a backsplash. I thought about jumping over the counter to get to it, but I ended up walking around to an opening. Unfortunately when I got up close the mirror had disappeared. To fix this, I thought to myself "when I turn around there will be a hand mirror on the counter." I turned around and there was a shiny pizza cutter. Close enough I suppose. I looked into it and my lip was back to normal so I made my pupils dilate really big and shrink really small instead. I woke up after this.
I immediately went back to sleep, and fell into a dream where I was outside trying to write down my previous LD in an old algebra notebook. Two people that went to my high school that I haven't seen in years were also there, discussing old school subjects with me. I thought "Why the hell am I talking to these two, I haven't seen them in forever." Performed an RC to confirm my suspicions and became lucid. I was mentally teleported back to the office building from my last dream. I walked into a conference room were people were sitting at an oval shaped table passing joints around. I sat down, but they were smoked down to roaches before they got passed to me. The DC's looked bummed out because they ran out, but I thought "no problem, I'm dreaming, I can fix this." I concentrated very hard on the roach the DC across from me was holding. A long line of brown tobacco grew out from the tip. I concentrated a little harder and the tobacco gradually turned into bright green bud. I managed to conjure green leaves around the bud, held out my hands in a rolling motion, and strained very hard to wrap the leaves around it. I then dried out the leaves with my mind until they turned brown, and we had ourselves a brand new blunt. This time I did get to smoke it. I took a few puffs, breathed deep into my lungs, and exhaled, though not nearly as much smoke came out as there should have been. To my delight I actually got pretty high. Next thing I know those DC's and I were driving down the road, still baked. We stopped at a store, and I was talking to the DC running it when I got a biley taste in my mouth. I thought about waking up to check it out, but decided my time was better spent trying to parasail for the TOTM. I asked the DC if they had parasailng here, and she said yes, it's right out back. I walked to the beach, and was helped into lots of ill fitting safety equipment. The problem was the DC's were so lazy and took so long getting everything set up, that I started getting annoyed and telling them "this is a dream, I don't need any of this crap, just give me a rope and let's go!". This frustrated me so much it actually kicked me out of my dream.
I have to stop going to bed so late. I had a lucid last night and almost forgot it.
Anyway, my recall is a little fuzzy, but I remember at some point performing a breathing RC to start my lucidity. I used voice comands for "clarity" and "stabalize". I'm not sure if clarity worked, but stabalize did. I then grabbed on to something and told myself "this dream won't end until I want it to end." I remember trying to float, and failing. So I then tried to fly. I ran, jumped, flapped my arms once and took off a little, but soon came crashing back to the ground. I then told myself "this is a dream, I can fly just fine". I ran, jumped and took of this time, flapping my arms to rise, then gliding, diving, and pulling up like a falcoln. Thats all I can remember.
Remembered this one kind of late. Lately i've been wondering if it was possible to do drugs in a dream, and if so what effect they would have. Well, last night I had a NLD where a friend of mine slipped shrooms into my food without my knowledge, and shortly after I started to hallucinate. I remember feeling very high and having visions of ghost images to either side of an object. When these objects moved, however, it gave off a slow motion effect. Imagine taking frames from a video and layering the more recent frames over the older ones, giving a trail effect. This was especially evident with moving people. It was a surreal experience, and a topic that I think deserves some experimentation in future LD's.
Had two LDs this morning, which is a first for me.
I woke up from the first at 6:35am. It started as a false awakening, but I noticed there were some cardboard boxes on my bed. This caused me to do a RC, and when I could breathe through my plugged nose I became lucid. The first thing I did was look at my hands, but I couldn't see them. I stared at where they should be, and eventually they materialized. After staring at them for a little while they became more clear. I put my hand on the side of the bed and tried to get up, but found myself laying flat on my back with the clarity fading. I looked at my hands again and tried to get up, but the same thing happened. This repeated for a while, each time getting a little further out of bed. I eventually stood up, but wound up back in bed, so I just gave up and teleported myself to the window.
I opened the window shade, and I was about 300 feet up in the sky, half over the ocean and half over a beach with a mountainous jungle in the background. I had wanted to fly in my next LD, so I guess this was a fly or die way to learn. I crawled halfway out the window, but felt the dream fading again so I grabbed the windowsill until the clarity came back. I then crawled all the way out and began to plummet. My stomach lurched like I was actually falling, but I was able to quiet it. I alternated between flying like superman, and falling to the ocean for a while, until I fell close to the surface. I pulled up at the last minute, weaving between wading people in a very uncontrolled flight (I was upside down half the time).
I ended up sliding into the beach near the waters edge. I tried to get up and walk, but I was too dizzy to stand. I ended up crawling up the beach (which was littered with flip flops, beach chairs, and people) towards a little girl sitting in a chair. I stopped and sat down just past her and tried practicing my telekinesis on an empty can. It started to wiggle, then I woke up.
I woke up from the second around 8:15am. This was a WILD actually induced by reading an article on Dream Views. I went in to the dream knowing I was dreaming, but I didn't try to control it. Instead, I tried to convince my girlfriend that we were in a dream. About halfway through, I started to doubt whether I was dreaming, so I tried my normal breathing RC, but it failed. So I tried the finger through hand RC for the first time in my dream and it worked, which felt a little weird. The only aspect I tried to control, was a wave that rushed towards me as I lounged out on the beach. I managed to project a force field around me for a second, but it quickly failed and the water rushed over me, waking me up. However, it was only a FA. I discussed the LD I just had with my girlfriend in the FA, then went back to sleep within the FA. From here, I actually managed to DIELD into another LD that lasted for a little while.
When I woke up for real, I realized I had just had a LD within a FA after a LD, and I had to pause and look around for Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon Levitt because I could've sworn I was in Inception. Overall it was an interesting experience.
