When visualizing each of these points, it might help to say the number of the point in your head to both keep you awake and aware "its harder than you think, this is very relaxing" and also to keep your mind on track and to prevent it from swaying off to other topics. When I did it, I never made it passed the first 31 points "upper body" before I got off topic and had to start over, but even with failures to make it the whole way, it did its job. If you have any more questions, I'd be happy to help, also if you want to google image "61 points of relaxation" there should be several diagrams that will show you a model of the human body to help you better visualize and locate these points. Hope I helped, sweet dreams!
First go to one side through the hip, knee, ankle, big toe and through the rest of the toes, back up through the ankle, knee, and hip and then do the other leg the same way. When you get back to your 2nd hip, go back under the belly button, then to the belly button, then to the spot between your nipples, back to your neck, and finally end on your "third eye".
You start at the point between both of your eyebrows, almost your "third eye" if you will. You move to your neck then you will move to one of your shoulders, to that elbow, that wrist, and then to that hands thumb, index, middle, ring, and pinkie finger. You will then work you way back up through the wrist, elbow and shoulder and then do the other arm the same exact way. When you make it back to your 2nd shoulder, you go to the spot between your nipples, in the center of the bottom of your pecks (breasts if your a girl). Then move to one nipple, back to the center, to the other nipple, back to the center and then to your belly button. After, move to your belt area in the center below your belly button, and now we will go through the legs.
I will explain the route you take across your body. Make sure that when you do this, you don't rush and don't move to the next point until you have complete focus and attention on your current one and you feel the pressure on that point so you know you truly achieved a shift of your bodies center to that point. Also, If you let your mind wander or think about other things, the best thing to do is to restart at the first point again, this will keep your mind attuned and will also train you to be able to focus until all 61 points are complete.
I haven't been on this site long enough to post links quite yet, but I can explain it if you wish. I really didn't expect it to work at all at first because I've never been one to meditate but if you truly focus you will be surprised, not that it will make you lucid dream it's just a relaxation technique but it will definitly be useful for relaxing which most LD techniques require. Basically you focus all of your attention on a single point on your body. This point will become your bodies new "center", and although you will not actually move or strain muscles in this area, you will begin to feel almost a pressure on that point. After holding that for a while and only thinking of that spot, you move to the next point. There are 61 total points, some of them are used more than once as you are going to go in a line, so they are easy to remember once you do it once or twice.
