There is no you in a dream. You are the dream. Some people talk about a dream avatar. The 'body' that you percieve the dream through. But you are no more that avatar then you are a DC. Let me ask you...

Well, as I've said before in the other thread, the way I look at it is this: In a normal lucid dream, we live by our own rules, so yes, we can turn into awesome things and just gun everybody down....

I thought it was good, not very good. It was a bit too dramatic for my tastes. There were some flaws in logic as well. Like why couldn't they just turn themselves into giant dinosaurs or mecha to...

ahhh, I've finally gotten back to dreaming. This time, I was in a dark, cold forest... Not yet lucid, I began looking around, until I noticed a bright red digital clock, like the one by my desk. Now lucid, I decided to explore the area a bit before having "a little fun." There wasn't anything particularly interesting going on, so I summoned Amenei and made the place warmer, made a chair and took a seat. "Hey. What should we do this time?" "Dunno. perhaps... burning things?" "Nah, we do that every time." "But it's FUN!" "It's getting boring. What else do you know how to do?" "Well, I can... umm... cut things up?" "Alright." I summoned my new and improved trusty katana, and began cutting stuff down. After a while, I started to grow bored, and decided it would be more fun to fight something... I got a little... ambitious, and created a giant tiger-looking thing to do battle with. It charged, knocked me over, and gored me on the ground. I woke up. =_="
Well, recently i have been having a lot of dreams that are either too personal to make sense or too dirty for the kiddies, so i havent posted much. To make up for this, heres the dream that slaughtered my sanity... enjoy.
This happened about 5 years ago.
The dream began in an old english village. I was with two people who i guess were friends. Throughout the dream, i kept hearing this voice. It would sporadically intensify and become calm... its hard to explain.
"hey. you should GET AWAY NOW GO AWAY JUST DIE AND MAKE IT GO AWAY unless you dont want to. thats okay. THATS OKAY. just make it your priority to escape. ESCAPE WHILE YOU CAN. SHUT UP. SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP."
The words are burned into my mind.
While all this was going on, the people i was with were telling me about some "birds" that fly over the village sometimes. The things they described were massive, horrible monsters, whose wings would take up the entire sky.
After they said these things, i heard a rumbling in the distance. The voice in my head raged on and on. All of a sudden, everybody in the village was gone, and it was only me.
Then i saw the birds.
There was only one at first. It was huge. Its wings spanned the entire sky, from horizon to horizon. The rumbling grew louder, and just when i thought my eardrums were going to burst, it passed. I fell to my knees. Then the second one came, in the same manner as the first. After it passed, there was a long silence. After what felt like hours, i heard a rumbling greater than both of the others combined. A third bird came, this one of unimaginable size. As it passed, my head reached a tipping point, as the voice and the rumbling combined were too much for it to take.
Everything disappeared.
In a white void, i found myself laying face down. My mind was opened, and i felt like everybody in the world was trying to talk to me. I let out a climactic scream.
And then i woke up.
ehehehe... sorry about my extended absence, guys. A lot of stuff was going on, and I didn't really get around to posting here... but none of that matters anymore, because IM BACK. Well, there's no way in hell I'll be able to catch up on all my dreams, so here's a run-down of what happened to me while i was gone...
- Amenei taught me some more stuff: now I can burn things up with ease
- I had about 30 dreams about cats...
- My brother stopped showing up in my dreams
- I can continue dreams after I wake up from them and go back to sleep (I'm still working on this)
- I upgraded the appearance (and usefullness) of my trusty katana
- I can effectively change the setting of my dreams at will
and more that is not important. Well, now that I'm back to stay, stay tuned for more of Okami's adventures in the dream realm!!!
This one got a little weird.
i was in an attic with tori somewhere, and we were looking at a map of the world. All of the countries were marked with symbols representing foods. (For example, south america was marked with a crescent representing a banana.) After a little while, i went out to the house's back yard, and saw an old, fat man dressed in a grey suit. I thought that this was strange, so i pinched my nose and could breathe through it. I became lucid, and the man ran onto the patio. I summoned amenei and asked him what to do. He told me to burn the whole area around the man to the ground, so i tried to set the patio on fire. When it didnt work, i was confused and did the nose thing again. This time, i couldnt breath through it, so i looked at my hands. They were completely normal, and didnt change when i focused on them. I lost lucidity. Amenei left, without a word. The fat man strolled away, and i woke up.
Okay, this one might be a little confusing.
The dream started in the wasteland from fallout 3. I was walking around, when i came upon a small cave. I walked in, and after a short load time i found myself talking to a strange man who looked like a doctor. He told me something about monsters living deep in the cave, and that he would pay me some caps if i killed them. I accepted, and went further in. After a short while of walking, i entered a final fantasy vii style battle sequence with a big dragon. I killed it, and kept going. Somehow, i ended up in an area that looked like a ruined, old doctor's office. Inside the room was my brother, wearing a white trench coat. He seemed to be troubled with some xrays of what i thought was a patient. I entered another ffvii battle sequence with sephiroth, randomly. After i won, my brother started telling me about how the doctor i had met at the beginning of the cave was doing some horrible experiments on people back here. He showed me the xrays, and they were of terrifying creatures that looked like ripped up people with aspects of animals. As i looked at them, a deadspace looking creature burst through the door. His face looked like a bird with no eyes. My brother lept up and tackled the beast, and i whipped out my knife. However, my brother commanded me not to kill it. Instead, he snapped off the beasts legs and threw them aside. After that, a second beast ran into the room and grabbed me while i wasnt looking, and i woke up.
Or at least i thought i woke up. Instead, i was in the bed i had as a kid, and my mother opened the door to wake me up. She told me that dad wanted to play a game of chess with me. I told her a website url and rolled over. I grabbed the gameboy color sitting next to my bed, and started to play pokemon red version (one of my favourite games as a kid.) I was talking to professeur oak when i woke up, for real this time.
