Not only did I make my dream views account last night but I also had my first lucid dream after weeks of trying.

I was in some sort of large train station similar to Grand Central Station in NYC when something triggered me to do a finger count RC. Of course my hands looked really weird and I tried doing a finger in palm RC next. The second RC didn't work for me, but I was nevertheless lucid because the first RC worked. I somehow then ended up at my old elementary school field and of course tried flying. I tried running forward, jumping and putting my hands out straight in order to fly. I was only able to go a few feet before falling. Looking back, maybe I should have tried going straight up instead of forward. One of the times I fell, my head came close to the grass and I became amazed at how my brain was able to render the grass with so much detail. I ended up on the ground staring and touching the grass for like 20 seconds. Eventually I tried flying more but didn't have much success. I then wanted to try teleporting somewhere and remembered that a way I read to do this was to find a picture of the place and jump into it. I somehow ended up at home on my computer and decided too look up a picture of The Eiffel Tower. The first time I tried my computer crashed and I had to restart. The second time I typed in Eiffel Tower into google, pressed enter, and then I immediately woke up. Kinda sucked that it ended right there but the dream did actually feel like it went for a long time.

Anyway that was my first lucid dream experience. This might be due to how I focused on lucid dreaming a lot the night before by reading Dream Views posts which inspired me to create an account. I also read my dream journal on my phone before going to bed. Since I actually succeeded last night, I realized that I can lucid dream and that my reality checkss are working. Today I think I've done the most RC's in one day that I've ever done and I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to lucid dream again tonight.
