I dreamed that I was in my high school musical. It was opening night, except we had only been rehearsing for two weeks and were completely unprepared. I couldn't even find my costume! So I was rushing around trying to get ready, and then they started without me (I'm supposed to be in the first scene, an auction). I was screaming at people backstage, telling them I was supposed to be out there but I couldn't get to my costume. They just sort of ignored me. I kept thinking how furious my director was going to be at me, and I just sort of ran away and hid. Then I woke up, completely relieved that it was a dream and that we still had three months to get ready for opening night.

    Locker Combination

I was in my school hallway. and I had a feeling that I was going to be late for my class. It was the new semester, so while I knew where my classes were, I didn't know the fastest and easiest way to get to them. As I passed my English class, which was being taught by a teacher from eighth grade - weird - I realized I didn't have the books for it, and so I needed to go back to my locker for them.

So I ran back to my locker, but I realized we got new combinations. So I got the slip of paper with the combination on it and tried to put it in. It was a weird combination, though. It had three sets of letters and numbers, like this: E253, P535, A266. And then as I was trying to put the combination in, I remember thinking that they were supposed to spell a word or something. I can't remember what the words were though...I think one was "poodle."

I was having a lot of trouble opening my locker, so my friend came over and tried to help me. As she helped me (Well, she just stood there, really), there suddenly became two different locks on my locker, and one of them had noodles all over it! Soon after that, I had a moment of clarity, and I realized that lockers only have one set of numbers on them, and that the combination was simple.

So I opened up my locker and got my books. At this point I was very late. Then the dream shifted a bit, and I started to go to my Computer Apps class instead of English. As I passed the class, I peeked in the door to see how late I was. I saw my teacher talking, like she was in the middle of a lesson, so I though I must be super late. So I just gave up and decided not to go to class. Then I saw my teacher in the hall, and she asked me why I was late. I told her some lame excuse ("I got...lost"), and she said, "Well this won't happen again, right?" My response was, "Definitely not."

As I walked back to class, I remember thinking that I should have come up with a better excuse.

    In a den

This was a very frustrating dream tonight. I was in a very dark room, but not black. It was more of a warm brown color. The room seemed like some sort of den, and although I can't remember many details about the furniture, walls, doors, or windows, I can recall that it seemed like the office/den at my Grandparents house.

I know I dreamed something before this, but the last thing I remember was that there was a man sitting on a chair. I was talking to him, and his eyes were very narrow and squinted. He looked like someone I knew. He was very friendly, almost too friendly, and he may have had a glass of wine in his hand. I'm not sure about that.

"Yes," he said happily, "I've been lucid dreaming the past two days." Oh my god, he was talking about lucid dreaming and I was so unaware I didn't even notice! "I've just stayed home with my dogs. It's been great." Then I woke up.

    Wild dogs in the woods

by jrhnemo on 01-16-2011 at 01:49 AM
I was walking in a snowy park with a plethora of people I knew, consisting mostly of friends from the school musical and marching band, as well as the musical director. It was fairly dark out, but they sky was starless, covered up by clouds, and a soft brown color. We were all carrying candles as we walked. I was toward the front of the group, near the director. A few people were pulling sleds.

As the dream progressed, it turned to daylight, but again remained cloudy. I also recall wearing cross country skis at this point in the dream, but I don't believe we were wearing those previously. We passed a couple, a man and a woman. It was soon after that when I fell.

The path sloped steeply to the sides, and when I fell, I began tumbling along the steep hillside. There were bare, snow covered trees all along the cliff, and at the bottom was a small stream. I eventually caught myself on a tree trunk, but I was hidden behind a snow bank, so I couldn't be seen from the path up above.

I then heard the people I was just with coming down the hillside. For some reason it never crossed my mind that they could be looking for me, but I somehow knew they were running from something. I was terrified of being trampled, because I couldn't be seen from behind the snow bank. I then heard someone say that they were being chased by wild dogs. I woke up.
