Another lucid after a WBTB
I am on a beach. This time I am very lucid and I have no doubt in my mind that this one is worth counting for full points.
The beach is an OTD environment. The weather is cloudy with a dark storm out at sea. The clouds are very vivid and detailed, they seem to be stacked up and up as I look into the sky in this massive cumulonimbus cloud. It is windy but it is not raining though I occasionally hear a stroke of thunder.
The beach also has a strange pattern, like there is a subsurface layer of concrete or stone with sand over it with corrugations or waves about every half-meter. Man-made in nature its not a natural formation. Thus the beach (or at least this section of it) alternates between a thin layer of sand and raw stone. I remember as I am walking (barefoot and by the looks of it in-form) the ground beneath my feet properly changes texture and resiliency. I experiment with it, seeing if the pattern is correctly maintained even when I am not looking just judging where my feet should be.
I think that this is a lucid dreaming competition, and a lot of points are awarded for dream control so I had best start racking that up. I set an intention to keep the dream long and stable and remember all of it. I decide to start simple and start running. This form is much more capable and athletic than my waking form. Even on sand running at great speed is effortless, and there is no strain in my knees or ankles or no difficulty breathing. I don't know if I could take points for super speed its tough to say if this was just a fast run but one that a normal person could do.
I took off and launched myself, pushing energy down to create my rockets. This works though there is still lethargy in the rockets, the flame is pitiful and doesn't provide much propulsion. I still get a long leap traveling down the beach, maybe two meters vertical and ten meters distance. I try again pushing down a little harder and get a bit more altitude. Still I'm barely flying but I manage to stay in the air long enough to fly in a circle and do a flip in the air before landing, but I'm still dealing with impotence. I decide to land and surrender that task, supposing I've done enough to count for basic flight. And because the dream is really vivid even this very low-level flying is exhilirating.
I then meet a dream figure, a larger man carrying a large white bag it looks like it would contain topsoil or rock salt or something, but the label says like "Moo Moo Strawberry Milkshake Mixture Powder". The man starts talking to me trying to convince me to try/drink his beverage because it has health benefits. He shows me the drink in some small cups set out on a table and I think I should try it (knowing you can get points for eating or drinking something). But I don't get around to drinking it. Instead, for some plot reason I don't remember he gives me a black thumb drive and tells me to read the data on it. The data is the formulation for this mixture.
The dream scene transitions to a library or study in a fancy mansion or old university. I use a summoning trick to pull out a slate (a slate is a small highly advanced crystal computer which I have used a couple of times). I use a sort of adapter to connect the modern flash drive to highly futuristic crystal computer. I try to activate the device though it doesn't seem to work, the device won't even activate.
I shrug and surrender that this isn't working and that I'm not particularly interested in this plotline anyways. The dream scene changes again. Now I'm in my childhood home. The dream is substantially less vivid. I decide I will attempt to summon Manei, even though I have been in this situation many times before, having lucid dreams of being alone in my childhood home attempting to execute dream control. I think about how my theory is that mundanity and grounded-ness of the location might unconsciously stifle all my dream control attempts as I think of it too much as a purely 'real' location. Thus the rules of waking reality are imposed.
I meander around for a bit calling her name, opening doors with the anticipation of finding her behind them and using my old summoning command. Just a "throw crap at the wall and see what sticks." Though I know this has never worked. Eventually I get frustrated since I have dealt with this situation so many times before over many years (clearly no longer fully lucid at this point as I am getting tainted by emotion) and try to brute force it. I just concentrate on an area and visualize her appearing very intensely, like imposing your imagination on waking reality. This actually seems to partially work and I can see her starting to manifest sort of like wet paint being washed away in reverse the right colors and shapes are starting to come in. Each time the visualization starts to unravel or she is just becoming me talking to myself I yell "stop!" and try to keep her 'physical' form from unraveling. I managed to get her left hand completely solidified and started to pull on it, trying to get the rest of her out of the fog. But the physical effort translated to the waking world where I was yanking and thrashing in my bed, causing me to wake up.

Okay I'm back.
My sleep has been really disrupted the last few days. Some IRL drama really messed with my flow in this comp. (Here's hoping its one of those comps that gets extended and gets a third week.)
I did two WBTBs this morning until I got some results. It wasn't a good LD. Normally I don't count LDs for comps unless I'm really lucid, but I'm feeling generous to myself so I'll count this one.
I had some memories of earlier sections of the dream. I was on a beach with purple sand. The sand was crystalline, like grains of ground-up amethyst. I was also at my grandparents (father's side) house for part of the dream. The kitchen was rearranged weirdly and my grandmother was baking something. I rarely saw her cook or bake.
I was in some OTD environment. It seems like a dirt field, like an industrial junkyard with old broken concrete and scrap metal and stuff sitting around in piles, surrounded by trees. On one side the trees open up revealing a view. The field is on top of a shallow hill which stretches out over to a city with some tall buildings. I am there, (semi)lucid and in dream form with some dream figures.
One of them is examining my form, while a few others stand around. She is one of the 'higher ups' is being gentle and relatively respectful about it so I don't mind. I've spent a lot of time in dreams and immersive daydreaming tweaking it and I guess is schematized pretty well and she muses about it seemingly very impressed. I only stop her when she pulls up my shirt and starts poking me in the stomach. She says something like "you have a very interesting abdomen" and I sense that she is scanning me. In some variations of this form the internal anatomy is also changed. I politely asked her to stop poking me there as that (waking body or dream body) is generally off limits. She obliged. Seemingly much more moderate and willing to listen than most encounters with these individuals.
I remember her offering me to explore higher dimensional space as compensation for her getting to examine me. I agreed, knowing it would probably net some interesting results for the dream comp and creates a portal. It sort of looks and behaves like Dr. Strange's mirror dimension. I travel through the portal and find a strange alternate version of the space I was in. Everything is beautiful painterly shades of orange, red and purple. I take off and start flying through the trees, though I'm also shifting through higher dimensions as I do. The entire scene distorts and melts into swirling caustic blobs and the dream destabilizes around here.

Still nothing but sludge. Very non vivid, having trouble with coherent scenes or plots.
I was taking a vacation in puerto rico. I think I had a terminal illness and was trying to enjoy a vacation before I died. I was on the wet side of the island in a valley between some of the more mountainous regions.
I was at some point making a model of a dress. Apparently I had decided I wanted to get into sewing and fashion design. The dress was to be made of a brown fabric with green arrows going in a circle as the pattern to symbolize that it was made out of recycled materials. It looked absolutely terrible. My model of the dress was made of a rolled-up poster board. I was doing this inside some kind of flower garden.
At some point I was reheating a leftover slice of pizza in a clay oven with a wood fire. Some woman came over to see what I was doing and when she saw the pizza she seemed grossed out and left.
At some point I was riding on the back of a brown and white horse. But it turned into a really tall bicycle that I couldn't figure out how to get down off of.
This dream was non vivid and I don't have much recall of it but it had an interesting premise.
There was a restaurant/tavern in the woods run by talking animals. The one running it is (well I don't know exactly... He looked like some combination of a ringtail lemur, squirrel and koala bear.) This scene plays out the same and every time the owner is talking to his chef who is this sort of six-armed bear. There is an argument and a cast iron pot falls on someone and kills them. Then the bear who is arguing with the owner spills a pot of boiling oil which catches on fire and results in the tavern burning down.
This repeats every 17 minutes. (Though each run-through of this scenario seems to take a lot less than that). The setup is sort of like outer wilds, I must go through it over and over and eventually stop the disaster. However this seems really hard to do, there is some final-destination like rigging of events that makes them really difficult to prevent.
