... I am pulling away some branches in a jungle-like forest for the car to pass. My family is in the car. Two of my sisters are also out of the car like me, walking next to it. We are not travelling that fast anyway because it is a hard road to drive on. after pulling away the branches I notice we have entered some camping place.
There are some small tents in the forest and aslo people sleeping without a tent. we decide to leave the car and explore the camping. We find only a little stone house in wich an old guy explains us the rules of the camping. My mother asks him how to reach a city (name?). he laughs and tells us it takes days to get there on foot and we cannot take car through the forest. It would be better for us to stay on the camping. He tells us that if we need something we sould visit him in the forest near the lake area. He seems to live there. after that we are left alone.
I wonder why we asked about that city. did we want to go there? If so, why don't we just go. I decide that I don't mind to walk those few days in this beautifull forest. It reminds of South Africa. Then suddenly I know that we are in Zimbabwe. As if I just rembered it. I feel a compass in my pocket and head for the lake area to ask the camping-guy for the exact direction of the compass.
The lake area is a marsh-like open area in the forest. I can see people fishing there with spears. There are also people playing in the water or hanging around in the trees that grow out of the water. A lot of great white birds fly around, and again the landscape reminds me of South Africa. I take seat on a branch next to some other guys. "how do I get to city?" I ask and show the my compass. They say the city is not where I want to go, that right here is the better place to be. I agree and relax lying on that branch with my feet in the water and the sun on my face.
Then my point of view zooms out and I can see everything from above. I see the jungle, the lakes, my sisters playing at the camping and on the horizon I see high hills and the city. People are walking there on a red and dusty ground...
