    First Lucid Dream

by CelestialBunny on 08-04-2014 at 05:38 PM
I had read on lucid dreaming years ago. In starting a dream journal I decided to try again, I gave up before from too many failures. The only thing I remembered reading was about using a trigger object as a dream sign. I told myself to dream clearly, remember it clearly, and to see a backwards 2 to trigger. I hadn't known about reality checks and didn't use any. This was last night..

I was talking to a tall man in front of a shop on the street. His skin was dark, almost as dark as his black leather jacket. He wore a dark blue shirt, jeans, and scuffed black leather boots. I can't remember the full conversation, but we began talking about two of something. The severity of the number dawned on me, so I looked at the window (a scenario I had imagined while awake) and sure enough I saw a large reflection of a 2.

"I'm dreaming! It actually worked!" I said. The man looked at me blankly as I had interrupted him. The whole scenery just went blank and the ground turned into fluffy clouds that were shaded pink and gold as the distance went on. I was aware that I was not in control of the terrain when a large stone wall shot up next to me, roughly 3 stories tall. I didn't want to waste time, I flew up/jumped uponto the wall. I made my clothes changed into an archer type style, a brown leather tunic with a green shirt underneath (it reminded me of Link from the game Zelda) I began to sing a lovely song, my dark brown hair fell golden from my roots to the ends of my hair, growing elbow length. I smiled and felt excited at how easy these changed were and how video-game-like.

Suddenly large vines scaled up the large wall, starting thin and then thickening as the vines arched off of the top of the wall and shot out into the distance, traveling though the end of that distance which was all cloud fluff. They became 2 feet or more thick, resembling what you see in Jack and The Beanstalk movies. I excitedly lept onto one of the vines and slid down the dip of it, running upward as it arose.. this was when my perspective changed to a 3rd person view and I saw myself run into the distance.

I lost my control and can't remember more from there. I dreamed on, but it was very nonsensical and not worth writing because the memory is so fragmented. I'll try again tonight and try to perfect some stability before running my imagination rampant.
