My dream last night featured some weird stuff.
First off, the line, "it was like California and Tennessee were personified and California was really angry that Tennessee was suddenly getting all of the boys even though she was so mainstream."
oh...kay.
Also, I was fleeing from the Wild West of California because I think I was a mistakenly wanted criminal or something. And I was running with this other girl and we found this girl who was living in this little shithole illegally and she was an artist? And she had some really bad disease that was causing her skin to look like scales and stuff and it was very painful for her. Um, anyway... we started visiting her regularly, I guess. And then we went to check out her old house, which she couldn't pay the bills for. And it was like, dangerous death trap falling apart.
Anyway, the dream pulled an epilogue style montage on it and was like "NAMEOFGIRL lived for x more months.... when she died, her art was auctioned off... a foundation was made in her name.... and her bills were paid off... and her family could move into her renovated home... which was turned into a museum."
like what
there was some other stuff but that's the most important part, I guess.
So last night I had a pretty interesting lucid dreaming experience. I realized I was in a sort of sleep paralysis stage and then eased myself into the dream. The dream(s) weren't that exciting but I played with some lucid dreaming stuff I'd been meaning to try out.
I'm not really sure where I was. It was inside and the lighting was really bad, so I tried to imagine that there was a light, but nothing really worked. I found it really hard to walk straight and kept losing my balance in the same way I do when I'm waking up from a lucid dream.
When I tried to put my hands together, it was like they were magnets that wouldn't let each other touch.
I woke up several times but had no problem returning to the lucid dream each time it happened. I probably woke up and returned to my dream at least three times.
I was finally able to improve the lighting by imagining it was daytime and walking outside.
At one point, when I returned to the dream, I had myself call someone I wanted to show up and they arrived shortly after. When they arrived, I kissed them. Again, it was kind of like when I tried to touch my hands together--the contact wasn't really happening.
I woke up from my dream and was unable to return to a lucid dream, but I did have a very detailed nonlucid dream after that.
