Lucid on 4th try.! Great Experience.!

For the past 4 nights I've been keeping a dream journal and improving my dream recall and reading up on all this lucidity info in hopes I'd eventually obtain it.

So last night before I went to bed I was sure to check a digital clock 3 or 4 times as a 'reality check'. My dream started out normal (as normal as they get :/ ) and after dreaming for about 30 minutes (it's kinda hard to keep track of time..) it transitioned so that I was in my kitchen. Remembering the whole reality check, I looked at the clock on the microwave. '8:46'. I look away, and look again: '8:47'. Looked away then immediately back: '8:48'. One more time: '8:49'.

To my surprise I didn't really start freaking out about going lucid and realizing I was in a dream. It felt somewhat natural. I read on here that people often instantly start trying to do stuff like flying and get excited and waking up. When reading stories on here I always told myself first time I got lucid I would play it cool, and not try anything. So with this discovery that I was sleeping I was up on my feet and walking around outside. It felt as if there was absolutely no air resistance around me, and I could move so freely. It felt amazing.!!

Perhaps I need more practice with dream recall, or more practice being lucid, but my memory started drifting away on what happened once being lucid. I felt myself started to wake up, so I started rubbing my hands and spinning. It worked, but I think that was the end of my dream. Afterwards I think I just sort of dream-lessly slept. I don't even remember waking up, but I did do like 5 reality checks to make sure it wasn't an FA. lol

So hopefully I'll be able to become lucid again, and next time I'll do something cool like flying, telekinesis, or banging someone. :]

Wow! I also had my first lucid, after reading about what it was, on the 4th night. And I took it really cool and it felt very natural to me too. After that I started having lucid dreams a few times every week. I think you should try out some of those powers you planned on using and of course bang someone

This list of things to do is starting to pile up. =P

How vivid are your's.? It felt really vivid to me, but whenever I look back upon it, it's all sorta blurry and sketchy(?)

It depends. Sometimes they can be really vivid and I still have pretty clear memories. And it also depends in the dream, sometimes the dream can start to get really unstable and I might wake up.
But I see it like it is for me while I'm awake. The things that happened 30 minutes ago doesn't seem as vivid to me as they were.

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow don't be alarmed now- It's just a springclean for the mayqueen.
