Unusually Good Dream Control for a First Time Lucid Dreamer
I recently had my very first lucid dream without even really trying. I remember that, at first, it was just a normal dream but then the scene switched and something about it tipped me off that it was a lucid dream. Now, everything that I've read about lucid dreaming here or elsewhere says that usually, when you realize what's happening for the first time or so that you have a hard time staying lucid, but I didn't. To me, I thought it was really cool and I wanted to try changing things but it never really shook me out of it. Even after I realized that it was a dream, there was still some dream-like aspects to it. I think I lost my lucidity a couple times but I always gained it back fairly easily. And I never had a problem controlling anything in my dream. Whatever I wanted to happen (when I was lucid) happened. I remember wanting to change the writing on something and I closed my eyes and willed it to change and it did. Then, I remember walking down a store aisle and realizing that it all had turned into a forest. This was during one of the times when I lost lucidity. But then, realizing that this was not normal, I realized that it was a dream and I closed my eyes and willed it to become a forest. And it worked. Then, I remember being in the forest and being chased by a tiger but I remember wanting the tiger to shrink and it did and by the time it got to me, it was so small that it was blown away by the wind. So basically, I've discovered that I have really good dream control but I'm not very good at remaining lucid during my dream. Also, since that was the first time I've ever really had a lucid dream, I'm not sure if it's something that I'm just naturally good at or if that was just some fluke. Any thoughts?
