      First Lucid Dream...for about 15 seconds :P

Well, I had a lucid dream last night. Here's how it went (some stuff might be of use to other people..)

I woke up at 6 o' clock in the morning- too early to bother getting out of bed. I stayed awake for a while, then fell asleep again.

I was soon in a crazy dream, not yet in an lucid state. I met the red glowing outline of some kind of monster, before I said suddenly (even though I hadn't figured out it was a dream), "this is a dream".

Everything suddenly blanked out. I thought "okay, let's ride a rollercoaster".

I felt the "rollercoaster" feeling, even though all I could see was still black. I was spinning, but I couldn't stop it, and I suddenly woke up.

Shame it didn't last longer, really.

Anyway, from this I figured out (it's probably written on the website anyway- no guarntees this is all right):

[list]Don't get too excited when you acheive lucidity.

Don't go too 'mad' with things when you first acheive it. Manipulate some small stuff, before going and riding a rollercoaster in your dream.

Wake up early, then go back to sleep. This works, oddly enough, but not always.
      • I hope to have another Lucid dream soon.

To resist is to piss in the wind.
Anyone who does will end up smelling.
Knowing this, why do I defy? Because my inner voice is yelling.

My longest, most realistic lucid dreams happen when I wake up a tad early in the morning..like 6-7, and fall back asleep after a few minutes. Those are the dreams I'll wake up in the middle of, and be able to put myself back into it. They're the best, lol.

I've also had that experience, where you try to change something, and can feel it, but can't see it. I've tried to bring people into my dreams, and sometimes I can be holding their hand, but I can't see them, it's pitch black. I can tell you thought, if you really concentrate hard enough, and stick with it.. the image will come through.

But, congrats on the lucid dream, and good observations
