After I woke up this morning, I decided to try MILD, I understood it more clearly because I finally got my copy of "Exploring the world of lucid dreaming". I didn't really expect it to work because I haven't built up my prospective memory, but since I just naturally did a WBTB, I figured, "What the heck".

Anyways, I repeated the phrase a few times, but not a lot because focusing on a mantra and visuals keep me awake, so after a while I stopped and let myself fall asleep. I was fortunate enough to "wake up" a little bit while seeing HI, so I repeated the phrase and the visual one last time, and fell asleep.

In the dream I was being chased around by Jason, and then I ended up in my kitchen. I was then overwhelmed by a feeling of needing to do something, like I forgot something I needed to do, then BOOM, I became lucid. Then I plugged my nose and I could breathe. I then thought "Damn, its kinda foggy" and then everything became EXTREMELY VIVID and real, as if my mind was trying to say, "Here jerk, lemme show you how real it can be." I just stood there ...completely shocked at how real it looked, and felt, it was just like waking life. After that, I rubbed my hands to see how it felt, and then I grabbed a bag, it had words on it and I focused on the word "should", I looked away and looked back and it changed. The dream ended after this, and I was very happy, to say the least.

So yea ...I'm trying to figure out what made this MILD attempt different from the others, and I'm hoping I have more success, now that the book has helped me understand dream signs and reality checks more.
