      So close

Last night I had a dream where I was laying in bed and looked at my clock a few times and it was different everytime. I thought to my self, maybe I'm dreaming. I tried to get up and leave but I was too "heavy" and tired. I said "increase lucidity" but it did nothing. Then I saw a friend of mine doing handstands on my front lawn outside the window, I went to turn on the light and the switches didn't work. I somehow ended up on the phone with another friend, who told me the power was out. Damn dream-tricksters!

Isn't it strange the tricks out minds/DCs can play on us? I have felt that whole "too heavy" feeling before...next time make sure you do a reality check after the whole "I think I'm dreaming thing" just to be sure...like watch your clock and see the numbers change or another reality check, that way you will KNOW that you are dreaming and will not be "tricked" by your DCs. After you are certain it is a dream...that heavy feeling will go away and you should be able to do whatever you like...float/fly out of bed...etc.

Ive even been tricked by a DC after i become utterly Lucid. The person convinced me to believe that i was awake!! after i said to myself... "Im Dreaming!!!" So i fell back to a non lucid dream. That was so frustrating upon awakening. I was like gliding on the rail on the veranda after walking trough a wall... but hey whatever a DC say must be the truth... not.
