Ok this will sound really foolish, but can other people who have lucid dreams actually do that?

Probably not (like im about 95% sure not), but I'm open to the idea. Once I experience it myself I'll probably beleive it, but I'm pretty skeptical otherwise.

Some people have said that they've had conversations in dreams before, and I read a book on dreams and Freud and all that jazz that had a story of a woman who dreamt she was on a crowded lifeboat and she was freezing, and her ship had sunk. She woke up to tell her husband, and he told her it was "Just a dream". The next day it hit newsstands that the Titanic had sunk, and her sister was safe, because she was put on a crowded lifeboat.

Right now I'm participating in a shared dream experiment, so I'll see how that goes.

I myself don't believe in shared dream but I'm open to the idea. If Telekinesis exists, well, shared dream most too but there both things I've never experienced (to what I'm awared of)

I actually had a recent experience with something like what's been discussed in this thread.... A little over a year ago when I 1st started experimenting with lucid dreaming I started having a dream about my grandfather. This automatically triggered me because I see him only once a year or so. Him and myself had some sort of meaningful conversation in the dream that seemed so real, like it was actually him talking to me face to face through another dream. I don't doubt my ability to make an accurate recreation of my grandfather in a dream, but that wasn't the weird thing about the whole thing. The main thing I was concentrating on in this dream was the room we were in. It was a home office/leisure type area that was decorated in his favorite hockey team's posters/flags/pictures/whatever.

This past Christmas I made a trip to my grandfather's to celebrate the holidays with him and to see him for the 1st time in a year. He took me down into his basement where he had made a few new rooms over the summer.... one of them was almost (not exactly because of different wall colors) the same as the room in my dream. That really gave me goosebumps and got my heart pumping when I saw it. It actually scared the living crap out of me.

I love to ld but yeah some dreams I hear on this site creep me out.

You woudn't want to share a dream with me LOL! trust me.. I'm a power crazy idoit in dreams, mostly i like to dream about living in fantsy worlds. like Eragon books type. So unless your into that and like to see my sword chop people arms off, then lets DO IT!

It all just depends on whether or not you believe in shared dreaming, from what I understand, there is little or no solid evidence to support the idea, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not true.

But chances are it was just a DC. Next time, make him leave and proceed to first base

He was a representation of your subconscious worry over parental pressure. And even if it was him through a shared dream, would he be likely to think it was your dream? He'd just wake up and think he'd been having a sick sick dream about his daughter. So he probably wouldn't mention it.
