      lucid illusions

Hello everybody. I haven't been here in a while because I don't have an internet hook up at my apartment. I have gotten a better hold on how to have lucid dreams and how to control them since I was here last.

I had one of my first WILDs last Saturday morning. I woke up half way from a bizarre dream and continued dreaming with my eyes open. I hallucinated that a small, stuffed giraffe was biting my toes. I experienced dream paralysis while it was happening. I went right back to sleep and held onto the idea of dream awareness. I ended up in the living room of my last house. I left the house in a lucid state and got into an SUV with my current across the street neighbors. In lucid dreams, I always get confused about what the real world is actually like. In this one, I lost track of the fact that I was on my couch and started thinking that I was sleep walking in a lucid dream state. I rode around town with my friends while thinking that I was experiencing the real world while dreaming with my eyes open. The concept seemed like a real possibility at the time. I somehow ended up walking around town by myself in my T-shirt and boxers, but then I was back in the SUV. My friends explained that they found me looking lost at a hardware store. They took me to my old house, which seemed like it was current in the dream. It was located where my present apartment is. I walked to the door from the inside with no recollection of entering the house, and three dogs I have never seen but thought were mine ran out. On the way out, a small one with squirrel teeth bit my foot. Then I woke up on my couch, wearing the same T-shirt and boxers I was wearing in the dream.

I have had lucid dreams in the past, and I have gone sleep walking in the past. I guess I had the idea that it is possible to do both at the same time.

Later that day, I rode with some friends to see a Kittie concert in Memphis. I got very stoned on the way and started thinking about how the experience was reminiscient of my lucid dream. I thought about how the lucid dream was much trippier than being stoned. I decided to try having a lucid dream some time where I am riding on the interstate with my friends and looking out the window, thinking, as I was doing at the moment. The next morning, I had a dream where I was in the back seat of a car in rural Misssissippi, smoking pot. I got worried about cops and decided to get away from the pot by getting in the front seat (as if that would make sense in reality). I looked out the window. This sounds like a perfect opportunity to become lucid and do exactly what I had planned to do when I was riding to Memphis, but right at that moment, I heard a non-moving car honk its horn, and I woke up. I think some idiot outside honked his horn to pick somebody up even though it was only 12:15 p.m. on Sunday (which the whole world should know is a time for sleep ), but I also think there is a good possibility the honk was part of my dream. I often sense things in lucid dreams and think they are coming from the outside world.

About a week ago, I had a lucid dream where I was in the guest bed room of my grandmother's old apartment. I was on the second story, but I thought I was in my apartment, which is on the first story of a different complex. The apartment in the dream was both of them simultaneously. I tried to visualize where I live in reality, and I thought I was there. I walked outside to the beach, one that I live nowhere near but is a common landscape in many of my dreams. I thought I was awake at this point, but then I realized again that I was dreaming, but thought the landscape was really across the street from my apartment in reality. I woke up and wondered if I was dreaming.
      You are dreaming right now.

Hey Seeker. I remember you too. I hope you've been doing okay. Thanks for the encouragement. I have learned a great deal from this site. My lucid dreaming got going much better after I first came here six months ago. Learning how to have a WILD is one of the most important lessons I have learned here. I have learned many others.

I forgot to mention in my last post that the waking dreaming I actually did experience on my couch (with the giraffe) must have also made me think (while I was dreaming) that it is possible to have a lucid dream while sleep walking with your eyes open. Come to think of it, I wonder right now if it is actually possbile. Imagine being at a good music festival in that state.
      You are dreaming right now.
