Success ( and lots of questions ) !!!

Had my 1st LD after only two days of trying!
I was in my back yard, talking with a person who looked like my mom ( but wasn't! ). She started talking this insane gibberish, and I said, " This is so stupid! I must be dreaming! " ( I NEVER say that, so it was weird! ) I was trying to breathe and relax so it wouldn't fade, and I just jumped into the air ( no, I wasn't thinking! ) and of course, I kept going and going... everything turned black, and I tried the spinning thing, but it doesn't work well in mid-air, if you know what I mean! so when I opened my eyes after spinning, there was just black, and I thought 'oops!' before it ended.
Alright, my questions:
1) Could the person who looked like my mother be a dg? I really don't understand what they are either, so that info would help.
2) What's something that I can do while dreaming that won't waste my time ( like jumping! )?
3) Any other advice would be GREATLY appreciated! :lol:

1. DG = Dreamguide.

What did your 'mother' in your dream do? Some random insane things. No, dont think thats the definition of a dreamguide, do you?

2. Its your first LD, shouldnt really worry about this. You remembered to do the spinning, thats already very good because you where lucid and remembered a tip from these boards to help you out, you will get better with practice.

3. Dont worry and keep on trying.

try flying, making stuff materialize and when you get REALLY good try changing the landscape, like making a mountain appear out of nowere

About 2)... You really can't do anything in a dream that won't waste your time unless you're looking for mental self-improvement...

By remembering your dreams you are gaining about 1/3 more time than if you didn't :-D
