Hey there.
I've recently started doing a bit more research into i now know to be called lucid dreaming after accidentally had one some time ago.
My Experiences.
1. The memory of my first lucid dream is a little hazy but i remember it last only a few seconds. I can't remember how i realized it was dreaming, but i remember the first test i did to confirm it. I made a piece of chocolate cake appear in my hand...which immediately began to crumble and warp before my eyes. I became excited and needed to tell someone of what had happened. What followed i now know to be called a 'false awakening', I dreamed that i ran inside and told my old man what i had just experienced.
At this stage i had no idea what i had just experienced, so i took to the internet to find out more, but never researched more than finding out it was called a lucid dream.
2. About a year later I had my second lucid dream (also accidentally), and after i knew i was dreaming, i ran outside of the building i was in and threw myself into the sky, assuming I could fly. I think I made it about 10 meters into the air before i began to sink. I sank right down to about 1 meter above the ground then managed to reverse it and fly up another 5 meters but I just couldn't remain airborne, much to my disappointment. The dream ended after about 10 seconds.
3. Several months later, 2-3 weeks ago, i had my third lucid dream, one which finally convinced me to take further action and start researching the subject more. I was walking through a field of some description and noticed something out of place, which lead to my lucidity. My one-track mind decided it was time to give flying another shot so i pushed off the ground. This time i flew through a set of power lines, then through another set of power lines (2 sets?! hmm....) then up and away. This time I made it to an altitude of perhaps 250 meters. I kept saying the word 'hold over and over to myself as my way of staying airborne. I remember the incredible sensation of everything on the ground getting smaller, and the incredible freedom that was flight. At 250 meters though something happened (doubts), and i began to sink. As i was sinking the wind blew me far out into the ocean. I remember hitting the water and then trying to fly out of it but the water was holding me down.
Since then
After (by fluke)having three of these 'lucid dreams' i decided the topic was worth a little more of my time. I read a book on the subject, which inspired me even more. This morning I started my first dream journal and have started doing 'reality checks' whenever I think about them during the day.
I can't wait to fly again
