Oh yeah. I've had lucids before i ever knew about the penomena. They were so weird, when i woke up i thought they actually happened (one was about smoking weed, i woke up and thought i was still high) and then i realized it was a dream. Strange stuff.
Yup yup. I'm a natural. My control was horrible though.
I just knew I was dreaming and then woke myself up.
Then I learned about how you could master control and I was amazed.
:)
I've only had 1 Lucid Dream before I learned what they actually were. Once I learned what they were, I was up to 2 - 3 month, then 2 - 3 per week a few months later. On that note, the poll is now evenly split 1/1/1/1.
I don't believe I ever had an LD before learning about them (or if I did.. I don't remember).
I had one lucid dream that I remember before I tried. The one I had before I tried was actually one of my best, with the most control.
isn't that odd:P
Nope I don't remember ever having any before knowing about them. I've always had vivid dreams but I don't remember being lucid at all before this year.
Yes, and then i entered dream control on google and then i came across lucid dreaming.
I think when I was little I tried to conduct an experiment to see how fast time went in dreams. I made myself have a dream about walking around my neighborhood at a certain time, woke myself up, and saw how long it took in the dream vs reality. That's the only one I remember, I'm sure I did other weird stuff like that.
Heh, an odd child was I.
i have always been able to do it since i was a kid. I just have never used it.
I started controlling my dreams before my teens.
I know when I was kid I did have Lucid dreams. One event I remember was when I actually said the night before that I was going to have the same dream I had before and realize that it was the same dream and extend it. And I did.
That generally ..was the idea of a lucid dream.
I do remember having others but not as frequently. So the answer would be yes but very rare.
Yep, had quite a few as a child,
Never really thought about what they were....
But now that I am older, I am trying to gain a better control of my dreams now :)
Namaste :)
Je suis un naturel
I don't remember any but have the vagur feeling I used to when I was very young and then stopped in my early teens.
Have always had a million vivid dreams every night though, still do. Too many to ever write down.
When I was in about first grade I thought "since they're my dreams, cant I control them?" and it all just sort of 'clicked'. Ever since then I had a lucid dream every couple of months or so but it wasnt until earlier this year that I actually found out that there was a name for them
Yes, I have been able to control myself since I can remember, but since joining this site and reading people's expreience and then working on my own expreiences ie. obtaining more clarity, and generally reading about peoples lucid level, I have been questioning myself and my abilities to Lucid dream, I know I can Lucid dream as I do as I like and can control myself etc... but apart from a few occasions my Lucid level is no where near as the lucid dreams detailed on here, and it is bugging me ......
im so very happen that im drawn to paranormal spiritual things, for i used to lucid dream alot as a child, but confused them with real memories, am so glade i know of it now.
Thanks for the responses, it was interesting reading about people having (or not having) lucid dreams naturally and now I'm glad to have some stats cause I've always wondered about it in my short time of posting here :)
Good poll here, Blargh. In fact, had I not had my few LDs before DV, I never would have looked for DV. I had a couple of LDs before I read up on it and searched 'dream control' in Google.
I can only remember one dream from when I was a kid. Maybe 11 years old or so.
In the dream I was playing piano in my house and suddenly realized "Hey.. I hate playing piano. Why am I sitting around doing this?" Then I started looking around and eventually realized I was in a dream. And I remember wanting to wake up, because the dream was so boring, and I was frustrated because I kept having false awakenings where I went down to the livingroom and the piano every time
Yup, I can clearly remember one. I don't think I was even 10 years old. And there was absolutely nothing to the dream. I was just kind of floating in this vast empty space, all lit up with a white glow. And I was just there, existing, and I though "oh my god, this is totally a dream." And that was it.
Then a few years ago I stumbled upon a book about LDing, read a page, tried one of the super simple techniques for a couple days, and had an awesome LD the second night.
Of course. Once every other year I would have one that was memorable. I never had the inspiration to realize that these dreams could be willed, though. I thought they occured at random. The lucid dreams were usually short, and are completely blown away in quality and frequency by my induced lucid dreams.
I had two lucids consecutively a few days before joining this forum. I had only known the definition for a few months prior. If I had not enjoyed those lucids so greatly, I would never have put the effort into it.
I've had lucids, but never knew that I could actually do something with them, so it wasnt cool.
