Most techs aren't super-simple or else DV would be full of them so don't expect it to be that special

I've just posted something that really looks like lucid dreaming (I personally voted 1 or 2)

Take a look at that http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=49797

No... I always thought "Naturals" were just people who wished they were. Or maybe I'm just envious.

They exist! I recieved proof that there are naturals today...I asked a friend if he ever lucid dreamed, and he asked me what it was. When I explained it to him he was like 'wtf, I'm not the only person who does that? And there's a name for it?" Then we discussed his lucid experiences, which were actually pretty advanced and quite frequent from what i gathered on this forum. I was quivering with envy! I did give him a link to here though...

The curse of being a natural lucid dreamer?
I began to have LD's so frequently, that I was having difficulty separating reality from the LD's.
Which really made for some crazy moments, bouts of deja vu, dizzyness, nausea.
Most of which took place during my high school years.
got nitro?

yes, only 3-4. nightmares as a little kid. i'd get scared, realize i'm dreaming, try to wake up, fail. it never occured to me to change the dream. i stopped having nightmares later, so no more LDs, until discovered the term lucid dream 2-3 years ago, Wikipedia. i got the LaBerge book from the library and half-ass attempts for a couple years, but didn't commit until July.

you know i have just this second realised that sometimes when i am having nightmares i would shut my eyes and try and wake up. it would work everytime as well. why have I never thought about controlling the dream instead of forcing myself awake?

I never had a lucid before learning about them. The possiblity had never occured to me I just wanted to control the type of dream I had. I'm really glad I looked it up though

I used to have lucid dreams from time to time before I even knew there was a name for it. I always thought it was quite normal to realize I was dreaming in a dream every great once in a while; I never knew it was anything special. Only problem was I was never able to control my dreams, and thought it was odd but figured it was just the way things were. Recently, I have been gaining dream control now that I have learned that it is possible. In my case, the key just seems to be patience and a great deal of persistence.

I answered with yes I'm a natural though I never really thought of myself as one, obviously I was one as a younger kid, and I can't say I'm not one now, because if I get enough sleep there is a fair chance of having an ld I'd say 20% each night, if I get 9 hours of sleep.

yeah around my teens I used to always have dreams about flying...and realize them, and I've always had great recall...well as long as I stay sober. Last year I was on some web site that had all kinds of information and one of them was about lucid dreaming...a few googles later I'm on here and having about 4 LDs a month.

The technique I used was this - I opened my hand and looked at it throughout the day and asked myself if I was dreaming at the same time. I looked at one side of my hand, then the other side, and flipped back and forth a few times, and asked if I was dreaming. I did that for about two days straight, all day long, as often as possible.

That night, the hand flipping made it's way into my dream and as soon as I saw it, I realized I was dreaming.

I don't why it worked that easily for my first time, but it was awesome.

I've had lucid dreams for as long as I can remember. I thought everyone had them, especially because my best friend in elementary school also had them.

Always had them as a little kid, that is the only reason why I was able to find this site, because I wondered if it was natural or if I had super powers when I was younger.

Once or twice when I was very little I think... and they weren't much really. I just recall being able to control my actions to a certain degree in some dreams when I was much younger.

I had semi-frequent lucid dreams at least every few months since ages 6-8, and possibly before that. I remember trying to induce them, but having barely any luck since I couldn't think of any techniques to try besides imagining the dream I wanted to enter, which didn't work. I didn't use the internet much then, if we even had it that early, so I didn't think to look it up, and basically forgot about trying to induce them until I found the wikipedia article on lucid dreaming, years later. I started out with very little dream control, and didn't really gain any until seriously attempting lucid dreaming for a few months, and increasing my average frequency of lucid dreams to several in a week.
