Thread: Wow this sucks

Last night i almost had my first lucid. I was in some hotel on a balcony that was inside under a fireplace. I somehow fell on my head in this huge bathroom and my head was bleeding. i then said to myself hey this doesn't hurt i must be having a lucid dream. i then was walking around acting like i knew i was dreaming trying to fly and stuff but i had no control what so ever. is this normal?

Yeah, since you knew you were dreaming, you were lucid. You just had no control. It's tough! But hey, you'll get it eventually

As b12 said, it's normal. You will manage to control it once you have some more experience with lucid dreams. The key is to believe in yourself. I believe there are quite a few tips and tutorials on these forums, too, to gain more control.

Nothing is worse then having done all the cool things only to have a lucid dream where you can't.

Me: "I can fly"
Dream Character "No you can't"
Me: "Yes really, watch!" *folds legs and then hits the ground* "Errr... really I can!"
Dream Chacrter: *Rolls eyes* "Sure you can."
Me: *Wakes up embarrased*
