3 recurring LDs (vortex/spiral, geometrical shapes, eyes, sound)
Hello! My name is Chris and I'm a newbie here. I'm also a newbie to lucid dreaming. I'm a 37-y-o married mom of 2 in the New England area. For the past couple of months, I've been learning about spiritualism and have started meditating. I've never had lucid dreams before, but last month I had my first and it was unforgettable. It has come back three times.
It happens when I start to wake up from sleeping – usually in the middle of the night. I'm awake but still in a trance. I’m suspended in space and see this amazing, vivid, colorful, kaleidoscope-ish spiraling vortex made up of shining 3-D geometrical shapes in front of me, and there are disembodied eyes in the vortex looking at me. There is even a sound (a low rumbling sound sort of like a volcano might sound).
Each time I have one of these visions, the eyes are more plentiful. The first time, there were no eyes and I was far from the vortex. It looked like a spiral galaxy that was mostly grayish white and it had the rumbling sound. Some bands in teh vortex were going clockwise, and some counter clockwise at teh same time. Each time I have this LD, I seem to be closer. The second time I saw just about a dozen eyes appearing and disappearing in the geometric bands of the vortex. The third time (2 nights ago) I was really close to the point where I didn't see the vortex from afar, but was right up to the bands, and I saw the geometric shapes were now made up of these eyes. Millions of eyes going on into infinity. Also, the eyes are totally 3D and glistening and real and looking right at me - like peering right through me. Also, the colors are amazing. A rainbow of the brightest, most beautiful colors - and incredibly sharp, detailed geometric shapes that are 3D and shining. The colors and sharpness are not something I can see with my physical eyes - and I have decent eyesight. Then I backed away and I noticed that the vortex was going counterclockwise. I made note of that.
It was indeed an honor to experience this, and I hope I continue to see it. I mean - THIS HAS CHANGED ME. My entire belief system has been turned on edge. I did some reading and it’s what Buddhists call a “clear light state” supposedly. The text said that seeing this spiral with the shapes and the low sound are the beginning of that state of consciousness. It’s also called the “vortex effect”. (You guys probably know all about that.) I also found an artist who paints the same thing that I’m seeing. His site is www.alexgrey.com, and if you go to “Paintings”, then on the right go down to “Progress of the Soul”, and then all the way down to “White Light” you can see the eyes. This is close to what I see. The eyes are exact. I also read that if you go into that vortex, you end up in the spiritual realm and you see the white light of God/Source/All That Is. I also heard that the eye is symbolic of the third eye opening, the chakras, etc.
When I see this I feel like I’m at the base of all creation. It’s just amazing. What do you guys think about all of this? I have no idea what is happening to me. I am totally new and learning as much as I can right now.
Oh, also I seem to be developing some psychic abilities. Some weird things were happening, so I joined a psychic development circle to see if my hunch was right. At the last meeting (my 2nd) I was able to predict some things that turned up on a card graphic 10 minutes later - in detail. It was scary how accurate I was. I mean, how on Earth do you predict a woman with butterfly wings and a green snake wrapped around each arm and puffy white clouds in the background? Pretty freaky, but it happened. I had no idea I was even predicting anything. It's just what I saw in my mind's eye.
Thanks so much. Hope ya don't think I'm nuts. :) Oh and by the way I don't drink or do drugs. I guess I'm naturally psychadelic? LOL
