      First WILD?

I think I dreamt of having a successful WILD last night! Either that or I somehow woke up and attempted WILD involuntarily which seems really unlikely!

After having a few non-lucid dreams, I think I had a "false WBTB" and dreamt of going back to bed, attempting WILD like I usually do. I heard the twilight zone theme song playing and I heard the narrator say something like "You're about enter a world which is between reality and dreaming". Much like a WILD, I felt all the sensations and saw hypnogogic imagery.

When I realized I was dreaming (within a dream), it was dark, so I opened my dream eyes slowly and I remember seeing a black figure standing right next to me as I lay in bed. I feared that I had entered a hyper-realistic nightmare like one of our Dreamviews members had, so I blink a few times and made it disappear. As I tried to get out of bed, I realized that my vision was blurry and believed that I had achieved my first WILD! I woke up from the excitement though. I did a reality check and figured I was awake.

Perhaps this is a new technique of inducing LDs?

I've done that. I got a DILD, then "woke up" (false awakening). Then I attempted WILD and succeeded. WILD should be easy in the dreamworld, because it's your dream and you're expecting the WILD to work.
As for a new technique, I don't see how you'd get yourself to WILD in your dreams steadily. If you could get yourself to do that, you may as well get yourself to do and RC in your dream.
