Thread: If You Had A Day To Live...

If you had one day to live and you had a choice of living it out in reality or in a lucid dream what would you choose? you would have full control with lucididy and amazing vividity

That's a very good question.
On one hand, you've got a full day of lucidity, doing all the things you've always wanted to.
On the other hand, you've got more meaningful stuff like saying goodbye to those you love and doing all those things you wanted to do before you die, but you'd never get them all finished like you could in an LD.

Tough call, but I'd probably go with life.....so long as I can go base jumping

LD. but only if it was the perfect LD. if i had unstable lucidity or control, it wouldn't be worth it. it would have to be the ultimate.

i wouldn't chose reality cuz it takes a long time for me to get happy. just one day wouldnt be worth it either.

reality for me. lucid dreaming is great and all, but it cant replace real life.

Okay what a psychological question. Of course i would go with real life. I personally think if you would rather live your last day on earth sleeping in a dream, then you either have a horrible life, or some major depression issues. This should be no brainer.

Probably in real life, if I was still mobile.

If I was lying in a hospital bed and about to die, I would choose lucid. I would maybe try dream sharing or some kind of thing like that, to say goodbye to my loved ones.

so what if i'm the only one who chose LD. xD

Life. Lucid dreaming is great but I agree, nothing beats the cruel realities of the world. I can be with my loved ones in my dreams but my loved ones can't be with me.

A lucid dream is all I need and if I were to be offered this very topic's original intent right now - dying after one day of life or a perfect lucid dream, I'd choose a lucid dream. I've seen enough of life and yet I've never had a lucid dream and my only goal lies there.

I guess life, I'd call all my friends and we'd meet somewhere out of town and I'd like to sit with them and wait for the end. Nothing special. Just that people are the only things that cannot be replaced, and the most iomportant thing I'd want to have near on my last day. And I definitlely wouldn't want some ilusions of my friends in a lucid, it wouldn't be the same...

Life & if I knew I was going to die, I'd end it on my terms. Say goodbye to all my friends, tell my girlfried that I love her, then ride my bike until I crashed to end it. I wouldn't sit around waiting if I knew it was com'n!

Good question though!

Life only because I would want to say goodbye to my family, if I had already done that I would want the vivid LD last day.

At first I thought
"Well that's easy, a LD of course!"

But then I thought
"I would want to be with my real friends, and real family."
