Hi Keurslager,
thanks for reading. I am glad you found my post interesting.
Yes, I believe my lucid dreams are not as vivid as compared to some other people's lucid dream experiences.
To answer your question briefly: when I was young (maybe about 10-15 years old or maybe even before that), I had at least 1 lucid dream, and it happened in the days when I had never even heard of the term "lucid dream". In other words, I had a lucid dream when I hadn't known there is actually a name given to it. In those days, the Internet didn't exist yet I think, and lucid dreams were not well-known in Television and Movies (eg: Outer Limits, Vanilla Sky etc).
I started meditating about a year ago and I noticed that I naturally began to have more and more lucid dreams. I never really used any techniques suggested in lucid dream websites and forums.
Recently, I became an officially recognized Buddhist (by taking the refuge vows) and I hope to cultivate myself fully on my spiritual path and development. I hope to be able to use Dream Yoga as an expedient means for my spiritual development, as I think maybe I have some natural ability for it.
I am not an accomplished master, though I hope to be one someday. But thanks for your compliment and I do appreciate it. We are all here to learn and exchange knowledge, so feel free to post what's on your mind and I would appreciate it if you are willing to share your knowledge and personal experience too. I look forward to hearing from you and learning from your knowledge and experience too
Here's another one (originally posted in a Non-Dream Forum) I would like to share for the benefit of all:
This is the other lucid dream I had recently, before the other one described in the most recent previous posting:
I think I was floating or flying above this semi-detached kind of house before I recognized that I was in a dream and then I became lucid (aware that I was dreaming while in the dream state).
I wanted to find out what my current spiritual obstacle is. I decided to go inside the house to investigate, because I was thinking maybe I can find out what my current spiritual obstacle is inside the house.
So I went in the house, did a quick search, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
Then I had this idea of using a TV to help me.
I saw 1 or 2 TVs in this house. So I went up to one of them, and told myself that this TV will show me what my spiritual obstacle is.
I saw 1 spiritual obstacle I think. Then later I saw another 1. When I woke up from this dream (which is later), I can only recall the 2nd spiritual obstacle.
The 2nd image in the TV in my dream is of a humanoid figure (or rather, a statue...looks like made of wood or bronze or something), with the head of a goat (with horns). I think the statue was on a table or something.
Then later I went outside the house. And I noticed a nice small pond with a fish in it. I know that in many of my dreams, a pond with a fish in it would represent my Mind. So I went to have a look, and I tried to find the fish.
At this time I think, I also happened to notice myself holding on to a piece of paper that is blue in colour, but perhaps a bit multi-coloured, and everytime I looked at it, the number on it would change. I knew I could get lottery numbers like this, but I chose to ignore it (partly because I know it is difficult to remember the number when I wake up, and I didn't want to try; I was more interested in the spiritual part of my dream anyway. Just for your information, 1 of the numbers I did remember did come out for toto on that very day itself....thursday draw I think).
I tried to look for the fish, but it wasn't easy to find it. After some searching, I found it. It is a white fish, with bit of pink I think. (White is a significant colour in my dreams; white fishes is also a significant symbol in my dreams). I then touched the white fish in a gentle way.
After this, I woke up from my dream.
Interpretation (brief): My spiritual obstacle could be interpreted as:
1) Lust or sexual desire (as symbolized by the "horns" on the goat. "horns" implies "horniness"
2) All the dark and evil parts of my psyche as represented by the goat-head humanoid. A goat-head humaniod is seen as a demon in Christian belief.
