I just thought this might be something interresting to share...

I've been planning on doing this for a long time now and two days ago I got my chance: to meditate in my sleep.
      Here's what happened...

I was having something of a nightmare (more like an attack by annoying beings in a dream). Throughout the dream there was a man who was trying to kidnap me.
There came a point when this particular agressor attacked by lunging at me. At that point I simply decided to sit/'float' down (in the half-lotus position, just as I do in real life) and close my eyes. Immediately I felt the effect of a good five minute's worth of meditation.

All went silent and grey, and then turned to white as I 'let my mind go' without thought, feeling or 'sound'. When I opened my eyes again my agressor dissipated like a gas into the air.

Shortly after that my alarm clock woke me up.
Unfortunatelty conquering my exam-demons at school wasn't so easy though... =p

Anyways, it's definetly an idea I recommend for anyone who meditates. =)

That's a good idea. I think any meditation is powerful, especially in a lucid dream.

You know I was planning to do the exact same thing
for about a week while waiting for a lucid.

I finally got my chance the other night, I became lucid while noticing
I only had four finger. I could feel the spongey carpet beneath my feet.

So first thing I decide to do is sit down and try meditating.
As soon as a closed my dream eyes the dream started becoming very unstable.
I flicked between sitting there with my eyes closed and falling in slow motion onto my bed.
Withing about 3 seconds I woke up

I'll have to try it again soon when my lucids start becoming clearer and more stable..

Seems Like Everyone's Sleepwalking Through Their
Waking State Or Wakewalking Through Their Dreams...

I'd do it once I have more dream stabilizing experience. Sadly, I need patience.

Cool I have meditated in an LD it seems to be even more beneficial than normal meditation when you wake up! ( especially when you do it in a 30min power nap on a lazy saturday!! )
