Thread: I flew!!!

So, first alittle about myself. I realized that I've been having LD's my entire life. Usually i wake up as soon as i realize im dreaming. On a few ocations I've change my dreams but nothing out of the ordanary. I rented Waking Life yesterday and found this web site last night. I was so excited. i though i was kinda weird for haveing such vivid dreams that seemed so real that sometimes i can't tell them from reality. After reading this site I went to sleep last night with great expectations. Well you can geuss it. I didn't have a LD. I did however remember my dreams and wrote them down. All day today i did reality checks. I figured I better start at the begin and learn the right way to do this. When I got home I read about HILD and tried it. most often when i relalize i'm dreaming its because I have to go to the bathroom and dream that I get up and go to the bathroom but then realize that I'm dreaming and really wake up and go. So, I dreamed that I got up and walked into the bathroom and instead of a bathtub there was a couch. Hmmm that weird I thought and then realized I was dreaming and started to wake up. I remembered that that is the last thing I wanted to do and stayed asleep. I ran down the stairs but was instantly in the drive way. My parents were in the back yard and I felt like a kid not my 32 year old self. I thought again "are you sure your dreaming". I tried to jump and floated up and back down. then i skipped to the back yard but I felt relly light and took giant leaps. then i tried to jump up to the roof of the back porch but didn't quit make it. then I jumped over the telephone wire that runs across the back yard and was so excited. Then my parents said "you can do it honey" so i put my hands up above my head and flew up above the house. I t was amazing. until I read this website I never thought i could control my dream and do things I couldn't do in real life. I've had dream i can swim under water with out breath all my life but never realized i was dreaming until i woke up. So that is my next goal. Anyway I'm so glad I found this site and hope to learn much more from all of you.

Hey! Welcome on board! Yeah, flying is my favorite thing to do in a lucid dream. There is just such a sense of freedom!

I don't know what it is, but for some reason, the human soul longs to fly, luckily for us lucid dreamers, we can fulfill that longing!
