      Increasing the duration of LC's

Past few days I have had a couple of LD's. Two days ago I realized I was lucid and walked for a moment and it all faded, without me being able to stop it. I then appeared in my grandmother's house, only I was not me. I was an agent!!!! I knew this because everything seemed like I was in a computer program, and my sleeves seemed like they were from a suit like they wear(I didn't look down to see the rest or look for a mirror). So I started walking around, thinking about how cool it was, and a guy hoped in front of me. I immediately stated fighting him, only I couldn't reduce his speed or make myself faster. I was throwing many punches but he kept blocking them. That is when I woke up. The whole dream felt like 2 minutes long.

Today I also became lucid, although I kind of kept loosing consciousness, or control, for short periods of time. I was at work, only it was somewhere else, and I kept feeling like it was a dream. I became aware and saw my boss coming to scold us for some reason. I then wanted to get up and start cursing at him and kicking his ass(because of a conversation I had had a couple days before with someone who wanted to do this) but I lost lucidity and was unable.

Then these executives came up to us and I regained lucidity. They were leaving to some office for a meetings and I followed them. I then decided to kick their asses for no reason. I then was able to slow time down and do some bullet-time moves(which was real cool). I then had the urge to go find agent smith and fight him, which I have wanted to do for a while. That is when my alarm clock woke me up.

Anyway, besided sharing my LD's I also wanted to ask the most experiences of you: What can I do in order to have my lucid dreams last longer? Can I train myself so that I can do this?

I would really appreciate any input on this, for although I can get lucid everytime I try, it doesn't last long enough...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

My last LD was extremely long. I focused on details and changed activity very often. I used spinning technique to go to 2 new locations.
Basically you have to do different things. That's just my opinion/experience...

PS Arent you afraid your power isnt enough to kick agent smith's ass? especially considering there may be an army of agent smiths..

      Yeah, that's probably it...

The problem is many times when I want to do something different, like leave a house and fly, when I am leaving everything fades....

P.S. I have been wanting to face him for a while...you know like in the final confrontation in revolutions. When I thought about that, I was thinking about jumping out the window and hoping my mind would create that scenario for me in the street below. I wasn't even able to get to the window....

LOL, my ideal dream fight is me with a lightsaber and superpowers vs army of 10+ thousands orks from lord of the rings 2 towers

The only problem is - I cant make dream lightsaber to be stable - it shifts all the time...

      Sounds pretty cool too

Hey!!! I just remembered something else about today's dream. When I was following the executives I was the narrator from fight club, or at least trying to act like him. I was saying that if they didn't move they would get a "lead salad". Then I put my left hand up and tried to materialize a gun, but it didn't work. I just kept making my hand in the form of one, but I couldn't materialize it as hard as I tried. That is when I started kicking them matrix-style....

Thanks for helping me recall that, Ev!!!!

      hello truthbearer,
      [setting yourself up for sarcasm]
i just thought you would like to know another way to keep lucidity is to not set an alarm. It may seem like a good idea, but if you set it, and you are dreaming when it goes off, it would (most likely) wake you up. and by not setting your alarm, you will sleep for longer periods of time, causing you to have longer lucid dreams.

well, with that said and done, i would like to know why you only try to dream about matrix related scenes and actions. if you do other things, i am sure you would have a much better experiance. when i stay lucid, i tell you, i wil be loving it. i have so many things to try, but so little time to sleep. till next time, truthbearer, and no hard feelings of the usege of my sarcasm, i do it to everyone i know (a very bad habit).[/i]
Have a WONDERFUL day, and when you're done, have a GREAT night's sleep. (and i hope you still think im as cute as a button)

That seems reasonable, but most the time I end up oversleeping and not waking up on time to try a WILD, I hate it when that happens...
      You guys suck.

one more thing, St. Francis De Sales once said, "Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly" [Seeker] and it seems that you are trying to be someone you are not. there is a world of imagination out there, why not use some of it? i believe it was emily dickinson who said, "imagination is the key to the future, with it anything is possible. Without it, we are lost." And that really is true, but i guess you must know this already [sarcasm:Truthbearer].

hmmm.. trying to stay lucid longer... I would just keep trying to use Eve's tips.. spinning, changing the scene, but I'm not quite there yet, as when my dream ends I'm usually so excited to wake up and document that I don't care that I wasn't in it longer. I look at it this way, if something productive or fun was to happen, I wouldn't come out so soon. If the experience ends soon then it's for good reason (and I just try to trust that ...for now).

Keep on keeping on too is what I always say.. pretty soon your desire to have longer lucidity will be granted. Be patient my dear Truthbearer.

First of all, about the alarm, it is very imperative that I set it, otherwise I will be late to work and will get my ass fired.

Second, I have been trying to do that matrix related stuff for some time, the kung fu shit, but I have also done a lot more and plan to do a lot more. It is all about association. I don't know why I suddenly appeared as an agent in the first dream, I didn't control that. In the second one I started off saying I would give them a lead salad, but unable to materialize a gun or any other object I decided to take out my frustration by kicking their executive ass.

Also, I don't understand how you can gather from my posts, or my dreams, that I am trying to be someone I am not?

      Just curious...
