So I took a nap this afternoon, and transitioned almost immediately into a LD.
The first real scene that started to flesh itself out was very random (aren't they always?).
I was on the ground, leaning on my hands and looking at grass. I was excited to be entering a dream so quickly that my enthusiasm was rewarded with a slight "washing out" of the picture, so I reminded myself to calm down and let the scene unfold.
So the picture comes back into focus, and I see the ground is dug up in places, and a line of DEAD SKUNKS are laying in a weird formation near a garden.
So this makes me nervous but I again just remind myself that this is a dream, and that the scene will likely change quickly anyway. So I look at these emaciated dead vermin, and notice a wooden fence just past the garden.
I push myself up off the ground and float over to the fence, to see what is behind it.
At first glance I see a rolling green lawn upon which sits a nice house. I'm apparently in a good neighborhood.
The image starts to twist and fade, so I remind myself to sit back and let it happen. When the images re-forms itself I am looking at an estate that reminds me of Mount Vernon.
"Nice...", I think to myself.
I feel an invisible tug on my back, and start to float away from the fence, and on into a longish LD that I might post some other time. But for now I must go, as my body has that nice familiar "tired" feeling that tells me I'm going to be in a LD soon!
