Thread: Video Game Lucid Dreaming!

Hehe, I had another fantastic experience last night. Imagine a lucid dream where you play the protagonist of an FPS. Mine was slightly Half-Life 2ish. It was really bizzare. I found myself in this wide open field with an assault rifle. I was being bombarded by aliens and creatures of all sorts. It was a lucid. I was playing a video game in my head. There were even stats on the top right corner. Health, ammo, etc.

I just blasted a few aliens to death until I got bored and made myself die.

Anyone else have similar dreams? Dreams that are like video games?

I never had a lucid one but I have had normal dreams like that. Some of them where "like" video games but still kind of real then I have had ones that looked exactly like a game, where you could tell it wasn't real.

I used to be a major gamer...I have settled down a bit now. I used to have lucid dreams all the time about games. I could control what was happening and change things so that it was easy. I kind of miss that.

One of mine did go into an 8-bit town once, but nothing like an FPS. I did get a 3rd person perspective for the rest of it though.

Those I think are the best LDs you can have.
I was once Fire Emblem Lyn helping Destroy a Dragon in Fire Emblem. Sain the Calvar (ITM) had that annoying crush on me, as usual, and Florina the Pegasus Knight) had to stay back (splash, b/c I didn't want her to get hurt), and hold Nils the Bard(he reminds me a lot of one of Jrels), while Lucius the Bishop (as of course, himself), Canas the Druid (Howetzer), Pent the Sage (Placebo), & Erk the Sage (Aphius) healed the people who got injured. Eliwood the Great Lord (Ramu), Hector the Knight Lord (Icedawg), Athos the Archsage (Seeker), Hawkeye the Berserker (Tygrhawk), Dartz the Berserker (Aquanina) and many more were there as well. Although Athos worked very hard to destroy the dragon, he nearly got killed, and I stepped in and injured myself to protect him, and delivered the death blow to the dragon. Florina then gave me an Elixer to heal myself. Then Athos thanked me for saving his life, and all, and for doing so much teamwork, he offered me the final heaven seal (As Lyn is a Lord [meaning a nobel that offers land to others, and has great potential], and she will become a Blade Lord [an honor bestowed on those who lead in strong teams who can now wield a bow]), and help the group upon being promoted with the heaven seal). I declined, and said, "There is so much to learn before I can take it. I don't think I am ready!" Athos looked very surprised, and Pent went up to me and asked why. I told him that I don't function well on teams and groups, so I could not take it. He told me to wait for the proper time, and also that someday, I would need to use it!

Weird, huh? Well that is just one of many I have!

ive had loads of them, my most recent was that i was in a dragonball z game and i was running and jumping onto buildings...........it was cool!!!!

I've had a couple like that, but they didn't necessarily follow the normal plot/scenario of the game.
For example, I was once in a (non-lucid) Counter-Strike like dream. I can remember shooting a few bullets at the remaining Terrorist with a SMG, but then deciding to arrest him, so I said 'You are under arrest for incitement of racial hatred' to which he replied 'Nooooooo, you know how to spell incitement!!'

Weird.

can't say i have...sounds cool though, especially that you had stats and everything.

if i could be in a video game while lucid i'd do super mario brothers two for NES, except from first person

I had a dream that some friends of mine and I were soldiers in a warzone, manning a tower. The dream itself wasn't videogame-ish, but when we got into a firefight and I went to change weapons to something with a little more kick, the weapon change was like a FPS, in that whatever weapon I was using rotated off to one side of my feild of view, while the next came up from below. They cycled like that through weapon after weapon until I got to a rocket launcher.

I have a ton of dreams that are mixed with video games. Only lucid one I've had that was video gameish was me being in Team Fortress Classic (Half-life 1 mod) and shooting a swarm of aliens, but when I ran out of ammo I just ended up kicking some huge guy in the stomach and he vanished on contact.
In the non-lucid dreams I occasionally have the TFC jetpack, or I'm playing Age of Empires 3 or some other game, it's often kinda hard to tell whether I'm playing it or 'living' it though..

I've had about 3 lucid dreams about playin socom 2, I didn't have stats it only looked like a video game of socom 2 and I was playin the maps online with m8s, it was fun till the point every1 on my team started dieing and I was just running round, they've all been along the same lines, my team wining then suddenly every1 on my team start getting sniped. Dream always finnishes with me dieing as well or just as I've respawned into the next round. I have some wierd techno tunes in my head as well while dreaming them.

I'm playing FPS games constantly, so I've tons of regular dreams involving gaming. I enjoy playing games when I'm awake, but when I'm dreaming I prefer doing something else. Usually, when lucid, I just 'press escape' or die in the dreamgame, so I can go back to normal mode.

I had another one last night. It was just like in James Pond, which is a trippy game for the Megadrive. I swear the producers were on LSD or some other substance the entire time they created the game. Goddamn trippy.

i allways get them.. they anoy m e so much becuase i want the real dreaming expierence not
me driving a car that seems like im playing gta.
