Not sure if this is the right place to post this so I am sorry if it is not.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered the problem of having a false LD or since it is false if it would still be called a LD.

Let me explain my experience:
The other night while laying awake in bed I kept telling my self over and over I was going to have a LD, trying to make it to where I could either induce one, or just plain make my chances of having one better.

At the end of my first dream I ended up having a false awakening. When I thought I awoke in RL I felt a tingling feeling as well as I had a mild case of SP when I tried to move. Well because of these two feelings I ended up saying out loud I was still dreaming. I was able at that time to get out of bed and walk around my room. I wanted to leave my room and explore my dreaming world/environment, but before opening the closed door, I wanted to make really sure I was dreaming before I acted like a fool. So I deiced to do a RC by reading something; I walked over to my dresser and looked at a cup that was on it with some writing.

First off let me say looking at the dresser should have helped me with the argument of wanting to make sure I was really dreaming. This is because the dresser looked nothing like the one I have and it didn’t have the dream dresser didn't have the same stuff on it that I have on mind in RL.

Thinking nothing of the contents of the dresser I bent in close to look at the writing on the cup. Upon closer inspection the words and letters on it are moving up, down and to the sides.

Again this is unusual for me because generally I can’t read text clearly in dream, but it does not move or change.

Seeing the text move I then fully believe I am dreaming. I venture out of my room into the rest of the dream, only to wake up a few minutes later. I was not able to do anything in the dream but go with the flow, and by the time I left the room I was only slightly aware I was still dreaming.

My thoughts on why this happened are because:
A: I wanted to have a LD so badly my mind let me just on its terms.
B: I let some of my reading of RC's influence the way I do them and think it should work. (i.e. the moving/changing text)

Anyways sorry for the long post I just wanted to see if anyone else has had an experience like this before and what they think caused it and/or they did about it.
