      I'M BACK!

HAHA! Today I FINALLY broke my 103-day long dry spell, and the solution was right in front of me the whole time!

This morning I woke up early after a long night, and so I was obviously tired today... I was so tired that I decided I'd sleep for an hour or two in the afternoon, and that was all it took. Normally I don't like to take naps, or my schedule can't handle it, or whatever, so I literally never tried this the whole time I was trying to learn lucid dreaming. I did today and with practically no effort I had the best LD so far.

Skipping to where things started to get interesting: I somehow got lost trying to find my room, and while I knew where it was supposed to be it just wasn't there. Though I don't believe I was lucid at this point, for some reason I decided to simply create the door to my room the way I had read about it being done in dreams. I turned my back to a wall, visualized the door being there and turned back. Sure enough, there was the door. I walked through it, but didn't end up in my room, but instead in some void... It was odd, I was deprived of my vision completely but I could still feel myself walking across the floor. Somehow during this stage I gained lucidity, and when I came out of it I was at my grandparents house, completely and utterly lucid. I was absolutely conscious then, which is in itself an amazing feeling.

Anyways, while I was there, I took a look around trying to focus on specific things to see just how real they looked. It turned out that I couldn't tell the difference from real life. I also did a nose RC there when I felt a bit unsure of myself, and it worked perfectly. I could feel the real me breathing, though I didn't wake up! Anyways, long story short, I tried to "create" a certain person there in the same way as I created the door. Much to my dismay, all I managed was to create some fat Wendy's employees...

Eventually I lost my lucidity and then woke up, remembering the dream in great detail. It was so incredibly real and lucid that I didn't even have to do any crazy stuff to enjoy it...

Anyways! I'm back in the game now, so I'm quite happy! w00t!

That's so awesome, Khaz! It's such a great feeling to break your dry spell, especially one so long. Hopefully now you'll be able to relax about it a bit more now that you've managed another LD.

Out of curiosity, how were you trying to summon your friend? and what were you feeling at the time?

(P.S. In response to your sig, I've never tried marajuana before, nor any other drug. Any kind of smoke except pipe smoke really annoys me.)

Well, I tried to summon my friend the same way I did the door. I looked away, and expected him to be standing there when I turned back. I wasn't really feeling all that much at the moment. I do think I know why I was unable to summon him, but the reason is slightly personal...

Anyways, thanks! I do hope I can manage some more in the near future.

(Oh, and I just saw someone else here with that line in their signature, so I figured "What the heck?" )

that must be a good feeling, well done!

I find it interesting the way you described how everything was where it was in real life....give me a room and usually I will never be able to remember EVERYTHING in it, i'll just have an idea. Having everything come out just as it is in real life in a dream, i guess that means everything you see, even if you dont really take it in is there somewhere in your head, it comes out sub-conciously. Very interesting.

I'm hoping I can have a lucid dream soon

Well, it wasn't really where things were, but how they looked specifically. Like, grass looked exactly like real grass. Cars looked exactly like real cars. Now, while the setting was recognizable, it wasn't exactly the same as real life. The thing was, though, since I was lucid I could tell every little difference from what it should be. (For example, my grandparents had a different car in their driveway, a tree was missing from the yard, etc...)

Ahh, I'm just so happy about all this...

      Congratulations
Lucid dreams can be scarely detailed sometimes
Our dreams are firsthand creations, rather than residues of waking life. We have the capacity for infinite creativity.
