Thread: My First REAL Lucid-Dream

I started off lucid but not knowing it... i was in my living room walking past a mirror with a sandwich in my hand. I tripped and the sandwich went through the mirror and came out the other side. i then shot it through many times before saying to myself ''If the sandwich can go through the mirror can't I?'' i put my hand in the mirror but it didn't come out the other side. I then proceeded to jump into the mirror but i get covered in a silver liquid similar to the first episode of The Matrix. I fell a few hundred feet and hit the ground i got up saying ''Ow that hurt.'' I got up only to see my friends dad sitting on my bed! He was ranting on about something i just didn't listen. My dream seemed to fade i rubbed my hands together desperatly... it worked. I then did a reality check... i tried to poke a finger through my hand but it didn't work. I then plugged my nose and tried to breath that reality check failed i knew i was dreaming. i didn't like the scene so i closed my eyes and spun. I imagined the place i wanted to be but all i did was change the coulers. I then had a false awakining and i was standing infront of the mirror. I jumped into it again only to fall to the ground covered in the silver liquid. It disapeered and i tried flying i got really high and was actually doing pretty well. Then i lost controll my body was flung upward by some invisable force, i was flying upward my back first. I think then i hit the sun becuase it got really bright and i woke up for real.

Can someone tell me why i only changed coulers in my scene. And could you please tell me why i went to complete flying control to none. (yes i have read the flying tutorial.)

I think that the colors just changed because when you were trying to change the cene you didn´t focused on the new cene... you have to really believe that when you open your dream eyes again the new cene will be there.... what I think is that you felt a bit disturbed about that unconfortable cene and you were still thinking about it when you opened the dream eyes.... the colors have changed because you desperatly wanted a change.

Ummm.... sorry to be picky, but that statement doesn't make any sense to me -- it's like an oxymoron. The very definition of being lucid is knowing that you are in a dream.

It sounds like that's the point at which you became lucid, so you did not "start off" lucid.

Wish I could answer your question about the colors, but I'm afraid I have no idea.

As far as the flying goes -- well, it can be tricky. Sometimes I can control my flying very well, other times I struggle to fly in the direction that I want to, or to even stay afloat. Just keep working at it, and you'll probably learn how to fly better with time.

But in any case, congrats on becoming lucid, and keep up the good work!

I didn't really know how to phrase that well sorry.

I have become lucid a few times, but the other day was my first REAL LD too! There was a whole lot of pre dream which was a regular dream, (I seem to have a recurring dream of being given and taking drugs of somesort) anyway a friend of mine gave me this bright purple lollies which I knew to be drugs of some sort. As I ate them I thought "sean doesn't give me bright purple drugs" and at that point I knew I was dreaming. Sean faded, I appeared by a beach with a park next to it. I flew out over the water (woohoo!) and wizzed around for a while, then I went skinny dipping with a lovely lady-friend of mine she had no nipples though which was interesting... then I talked to a friend of mine i cant remember what about, and also considered doing a backflip off a wall but didn't...

The dream was quite long, (in the past I have woken up upon realizing im dreaming), and the feeling of keeping my lucidity was similar to trying to concentrate when very tired. It took some effort to stay focused and not get lost in the dream, and also, when the dream came to an end it felt like I made the choice just to open my eyes and immeadiately start wrting down the dream... Anyway it was great...
