I've always been semi-OK at dream recall, i usually remember at least one dream a couple times a week, and for not even deliberately trying i don't think that's too bad. anyway, something that always helps is to repeat to myself over and over "remember my dreams, remember my dreams, remember my dreams" before i fall asleep.

a few days ago i had a very long dream that i remembered perfectly when i woke up and of course i wrote it down -- it was a rainy day and i sat on my bed in the early light and was just all alone writing about my dream, it was so beautiful. this was one of the strangest dreams i have ever had which is great because for about 5 seconds i realized it wasn't real, but as the articles on this site say, i was instantly distracted (by a french policeman that didn't speak french and said we were in the country of "frank"). before that i had flown off the edge of a cliff after driving through a house, and the car turned into a taboggan and we (my 'boyfriend' and i) flew over this huge wooden wall with rainbow letters that said "western sea" on it and we landed in the water and i was thinking "now where the heck are we? western sea... california? no way did we drive all the way across the country... could we be overseas?" and then it turned out we were in france as all of my friends from school appeared in the water with us and we all swam/flied to shore, which was snowy, and the policeman showed up.....

there is WAY more to my dream than that but it's a long story.

anyway, am i on my way to lucid dreaming? i mean, if i was questioning it...
