Ok to Steal ideas from others in a LD?
I have a question for you all. Do you think it is ok or ethical to "steal" ideas from others during a LD? One thing I like to do in a LD is to go into a co-worker's office and "take" ideas from his or her desk and use them for my own. I realize that it is my LD, but I can't help but feel guilty when I am at work and a co-worker who I "took" this idea from in a LD asks me where I came up with such a good plan. I don't think they would understand if I tell them that they "gave" me the idea in a LD. Furthermore, I have found that when I discuss my LD's with others they are not interested and don't fully understand how powerful and useful they can be. Sometimes I feel like I am in a Twilight Zone episode and that someday I am going to have to "pay" the Devil with my soul for having given me the power of Lucid Dreaming. What do you think?

Well of course you're not really stealing anything. It sounds more like a problem with self confidence, like you don't believe that you are capable of coming up with good ideas on your own, when in fact that's just what you're doing!

I don't see a problem with what you are doing, but in the interests of soothing your concience, perhaps you could leave a nice present on your co-workers desk during your next LD as a thank you for the great ideas?
As for discussing LDs with co-workers? I usually will just mention it to them once. If they are interested, they will bring it up later.you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

The reason why you feel guilty is because in real life, you have programmed your brain to believe that stealing is unethical and it also carries on into your dream life. The act of stealing will trigger the same emotions of guilt as if you did it in real life.
Keep on stealing. lol

Don't ask us, ask the people in your dreams who you are stealing from if it is allright with them. That way everyone's happy (actually it's just you, but you'll feel like it anyway.)
