I know this has been gone over before...but before the lucid dreams that I've had..I've heard voices...as clear as a bell..and have felt vibrations from head to toe....I've read about others that have had this happen to them...but when it really happens to you in the middle of the night...well, it's hard to explain the feeling.. |

The vibrations or "tinglyness" you are feeling is caused by sleep paralysis i believe. Its perfectly normal and happens to me every night. The electronic noises and voices you hear are like what nesgirl said, "hypnotic sounds", forgot the exact name of it but its something close to it. It's all a part of the WILD process. Try to use it to your advantage, because when this happens in the middle of the night like you said, you can easily enter a lucid dream by staying concious, not panicking/fearing it, and staying calm |

hmm...I think they're called hypnogogic hallucinations, in this case taking the form of auditory sensations. That happens to me as well. Don't you get freaked out though? They scare the crap out of me. |

some of my newest music is there, meant to pump you up or freak you out.
That sounds similar to something that happened last week. I was using a Lucid Dreaming mp3 (found at forums.facepunchstudios.com), and I started to drift out of consciousness at the time I was supposed to. Suddenly, I heard a very very clear growling that sounded like a dog. I immediately jolted up and looked around my room. |

Reality Check. Now.
Sounds to me more like the vibrational state just before an out of body experience, or just before a dreaming state of sleep. |

I too have felt some weird electricity, when trying WILD... Just to think about it, I never tried moving, Maybe I was pralised =D |

this is one of the early phases of sleep paralysis etc. The body does some weird stuff when you go to sleep, nothing to worry 'bout though |
