Thread: Holy crap that was awesome!

Well, this morning I had what I consider to be my first REAL lucid dream. My last one didnt really satisfy because it happened after a big night on bourbon and I couldn't really remember too much of it.
But this one was so realistic! That's probably the first thing I noticed as I went lucid, that and the fact that everything was just slightly blurry.

Anyways, the dream was actually really cool, even though it only lasted a very short while.
Here's what I wrote down in my journal:

I was walking down a wide open street, and everything was like a scene from waking life. As I walked along I saw a butterfly that flew away. I kept on walking, and I looked at a lamp post on which there was another butterfly (maybe the same one). I continued my walk, and passed some big glass windows in which I could see my reflection. I walked a little bit further, then remember thinking that I wanted to see what I looked like (I have a feeling I was already starting to guess I was dreaming). I started to REWIND TIME which I have no idea how I acheived, and managed to get back to the point of looking at my reflection again. I was wearing a blue and white striped T-shirt and I also had my bag on. Then I knew I was dreaming, no reality check just like last time, which is wierd. WOOSH! Everything focussed in and became so significant. Everything was so real! Two DC's looked at me wierdly and kept walking on. I took a few paces taking everything in and then I said : "This is a figment of my mind". I then walked around a corner and noticed some graffiti on the wall, then thought about flying and woke up.

It's a shame I didnt get to fly, but there'll be plenty of time for that. I'm just stoked for the time being! Hooray for lucid dreaming!

I just had my first real one the other night, and I was as ecstatic as you are. Isn't it cool?!

I'm like you, I attain lucidity spontaneously. I just know I am dreaming at one point, no RC, no reasoning that flying green giant mushrooms don't make sense, it's just sudden lucidity. No idea how this works or why this is.

And congrats on your LD!

grr stop celebrating! lol, im so jelous i wanna lucid dream, but it's not happened yet, can't wait till it does though.

Haha, I was once like you, looking at all the people post their successes, but I've still got a long way to go! This just gave me the boost I've been looking for to really get into it.
