Well, there's a bit of a step from "I'm dreaming" to "Nothing in a dream can harm me". It's not a huge step, but it's possible to have the first without the second, especially in a nightmare. |

Yeah I know what you mean. You can even know that you can't be hurt, but still be scared. I've had dreams where I know I can't be hurt but I'm too scared to jump off an extremely high ledge. It's just like when kids watch scary movies, they know it's all fake but when they're alone in the dark they still feel fear. It's just a natural reaction. |
