Thread: Its da sound of the Dream Police

Hey guys. I have been getting these weird dreams where I eventually get to the stage where i preform a Reality Check, I realise im dreaming, then almost instantaneously a man in police uniform shouts these exact words, every time, "NO!"

After this I yet again., Instantaneously I awake, I usually preform a DEILD after this whole scenario, in an attempt to continue where i starte feom and beat the crap out of this dude but it's as if he has full control over me.

I would like to know if anyone else has had this issue. NOTE: I have no intention of doing this at thr time. Or do I even have the time to expect it.

When you do reality checks in waking life, after they show you that you are awake do you think something along the line "I am not dreaming"? If so, stop that. Never think about that and instead think something like "Next time i do reality check, i will be dreaming".
Also maybe you are overthinking it after the first time it happened and it materializes in dream, if that's the case then stop worrying about it and just prepare mentally to just enjoy the experience no matter what, don't worry about waking up or length of dream or somebody waking you up like that, that's how i broke my lucid dream length dry spell in May anyways, i stopped finding ways to fix it and just went with it, i hope this helps.

A long time ago my DC's would hassle me as soon as I became lucid, I was even arrested once where they cuffed me and put me in the back of the car (to be fair I did break a few laws before the cops showed up). I didn't really do anything to stop this from happening because when I got back into lucid dreaming after a few years the problem disappeared. You could try reasoning with the police officer next time you DEILD, he might let you off with a warning or something lol. Mental preparation would probably be a better way of approaching the problem though, if you're feeling really anxious about this guy showing up he probably will. You could try a mantra like "I'm totally free in my dreams" or something a bit more personalized before going to sleep.
