My First Intentional Lucid Dream

I have been doing occasional research for lucid dreaming for the past 3 months, unable to develop a common reality check. I heard of WILD, and how to do it, and just now managed to successfully. So, I just got home from school about 3 hours ago, and was exhausted as any normal day. I went to take a nap, and woke up an estimated 30 minutes later. Still (somewhat) tired, I lifted my arms. Not sure what to expect, a slight tingle and I lowered them. Then, as if I was floating and being moved by a paranormal force, I felt as if I rolled over mid-air, and then I was in the dream. It started in my bedroom, where it was still dark as usual (had one door open and blinds closed, that door lets in a tiny bit of light). But, the paint on the walls (now looking back, they were dis-formed from what they truly are dimension-wise) was cycling through a red and blue paint. I knew that somehow it had worked. I then had some fun trying various things with the will of my mind. (Not like flying, mind you, I had some more interesting plans for my first time.) I went through several interesting tasks, and then after slapping myself in the face (in the dream), less intentionally, I woke myself up. So, I am pretty psyched that I was able to pull a WILD off with ease, even though I probably didn't perform the steps right. Is this a typical dream initiation for WILD? By the way, I'm fairly sure it was Layer 4 until closer to the end, assuming 5 is TOTAL control. It felt like it wasn't ENTIRELY me, but I was doing almost exactly my mind told the dream to do, and I felt (some) sensation that I would have felt had it been real. Eventually I (not sure how) ended in an intersection with the urge to wake up, which is why I slapped my face.
