Woo! I had my first lucid dream tonight!
I was at my old summer camp at a school which I accepted as "my high school". It was quite strange; when I arrived, I took a small tour around the school and was taken to the summer camp where I watched a boring movie with some friends for what seemed like a few seconds. I walked away because it was so boring and I found a mermaid or something in a puddle of water on the floor.
Suddenly, I was flying extremely quickly over a sea of water while being chased by some sort of a demon; I believe it looked like a headless bear. There was something else it was chasing at the same time that I apparently was friends or something with: it was some sort of an orb of light that died when I died and vise versa. I had to rescue it from the bear and rescue myself. Eventually I just grabbed it and sped away, and I was back in the hallway where I saw the mermaid.
I realized that the whole "being chased by a headless bear demon while protecting a glowing thing" was fairly odd, so I had a suspicion that it might have been a dream. Sure enough, when I plugged my nose, I could breathe through it, and I became lucid. I got up and walked around for a while, rubbing my hands and performing an RC every now and then, before I saw a random guy. I decided I would test my skills on him and try to make him say "Hey, I like cake!". And it worked.
I realized it was probably time to go (in the dream plot), so I went to the bus. I then realized I forgot my stuff, so I dashed back inside to get it. I might have temporarily lost lucidity there, but I don't remember where I got it back (I had it back at the end for sure though). I couldn't make my way back to the room with the movie, though, so I eventually just got on a bus and took it home. I had a conversation with a DC about LDing, which he seemed fairly interested in (no duh).
The bus didn't get off at my house, though. It got off in the middle of a mall. I decided that this would be a great place to test out the dream world, so I decided to jump through a glass window in to a dark store. The glass shattered and I felt no pain, and I was on the floor of the shop. There was an ornate black table inside along with fancy pieces of velvet and various porcelain sculptures of people who looked suspiciously as Shakespeare. I thought it was a fairly odd shop when I woke up (and it wasn't a false awakening).
Pretty fast time to have a lucid dream, though; only took four days.
