OMG Wow! That was AMAZING! (First Lucid YAY!)

So I just had my first lucid this morning. It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. It was a quick DILD, but man was the 6 month wait worth it. In my dream, my bro literally said: "You are dreaming". It sounded almost robotic. I immediately slammed my hand onto my nose, held it and started breathing in and out heavily. I do this for about 3 seconds, and I wake up; heart racing. It was a stupid lucid, but totally worth it. It was waaaaaay more vivid and realistic than my normal dreams. It felt like real life. But after thinking about it for a bit, It kind of felt heavy/strange. Kind of like gravity may have been a little stronger.

Anyway, Yay for me. 6 months of practice and I finally had one. Let this be inspiration for all the newbies who haven't done so in a month or two.

      Great job!

It's funny how when you experience a lucid dream, your motivation tends to go up. You're reminded why you wanted to improve this skill in the first place. This is what happened to me until I finally decided to incorporate the techniques into my general lifestyle, regardless of whether or not I end up becoming lucid (that way, I don't have a mindset of giving up, because there's "nothing" to give up). lol

But you appear to have been dedicated from the start, so keep it up!

Yea, I started from ~0 dreams per month, and now I'm averaging about ~3-4 per week. I was literally dumbfounded when my bro said that, because besides the quick mention of lucid dreaming when we watched inception, I don't talk to him about that kind of stuff. And then I guess I stupidly thought that doing the same RC over and over would somehow keep it going *facepalm*. I realize the correct way is to stimulate senses.

Congrats on your first LD. Hard work pays off. I'm sure they'll keep coming, and at a more frequent pace now, as another poster said. LD on!

      Great job!
My first LD came after a month or two, and i started out with nothing.
After my first LD i was... well confused.
It was a 3 second long FA that imidiately blacked out after the RC.
But the feeleing after my second on the other hand... Hell yeah!
