Thread: Major dream guide problem

Okay, so in a DILD I had the other night, I asked to see my DG for a second time. This time, I met a different girl, this one I knew in RL. I asked her what the deal was with a different girl being my DG a few nights ago, and she said that that old DG was only a DC. I don't know who to believe, or if they are the same person after all, (or if my dreams have specific DG's.) Maybe neither is my real DG, and they're just messing with my head. Can I have some help with this?

Maybe ask the dream itself to show you the true DG?

Or, you can always ask the DG themselves to tell you who the real one is, if they're not the same person. If they give you a hard time, it's possible they may just be playing around. Just remember that although they may be a part of your subconscious and possibly know more than you, you deserve respect from them too.

I have not become lucid yet, so don't take my word as the truth, but in my opinion and knowledge from this site, your DG wouldn't deceive you. If you think you have met your DG, and then try to meet them again but get a different person, odds are your DG was never met in the first place.
I hear that when you manage to meet your DG, you know it, straight away, as it is your own mind, not someone else who can keep secrets. Your DG can only not appear until you are ready, or capable of seeing them.

You will know (apparently, from what I read) your DG when you meet them. Everyone else is just a character.

Alright, I'll ask for the true dream guide, but also ask if I'm ready. Thanks for your help! Tonight, I will travel into the aether that is my dream world.... I'll tell you how it goes!

Yeah, I agree that when you meet your real DG, you'll know.

I met mine unexpectedly. It was ina d ream in which I was incredibly frustrated and scared, and I turned around to see this girl and I instantly became lucid at the site of her, and she had a comforting smile.

It was as if she was there, but she wasn't a part of the dream-scene. No one else noticed her.

Don't ask the DC's, ask the dream itself, "hey, who is my *real* dream guide?" or, "Hey! I want to meet my *real* dream guide!".
