EDIT: The term I meant to use to describe this was power lines, makes more sense, since I didn't see any telephone poles.
So, I had this lucid dream a while back. I guess this was really the first lucid dream where I had the most success in flying. Anyway, I won't relay the whole dream but at one point I decided to fly as high as I could, it was a bright sunny day. I soared to the sky and as soon as I knew I was pushing limits (I was very high up) I ran into these telephone lines, couldn't see any poles, but that was the only way to describe it. I sorta got tangled up in them for a moment, I know I could've went further, but I remember being scared. I just hung out there for a moment and woke up.
I read in Stephen LaBerge's book that many dreamers have reported telephone lines in the sky. Some said that when they flew through them there was a shocking sensation and then they were flying around the globe. He didn't talk much about it, but he did say it might have something to do with living in cities. Anyway, I searched the forums and couldn't find a thread. I was just wondering how many have experienced this and what are your thoughts about it?
I was debating on asking in the Beyond Dreaming forum. I felt there was a lot of energy in those lines, felt it was a warning, or a boundary. I haven't dreamt of them since, but when I become lucid again, I will try going through them.
