Dream Within a Dream

hey people. so i was lazy to post but a couple of days ago i had a pretty great experience. and before i talk about the dream.. i did a lot of hand-stare reality checks throughout the day before this dream. so roughly, my dream starts out with me hanging out with two friends of mine. we are in an unknown space (random house), hanging out. a bit later i look at my hands (the reality checks must of came through into this dream). Usually id clue in, but this time it seems that i convinced myself something fairly absurd which can happen in dreams. my hands dont seem normal, so i think.. "OH!" its just the mushrooms that ive ate a bit earlier kicking in.. lol.

So i'm not convinced im dreaming. but i will say this dream was very hands on and clear. so this is the weird part...
I lie in bed, in my dream. and soon i fall asleep, in my dream. and i can CLEARLY remember my dream that i had in my dream. in this dream within a dream, i was in a best buy/future shop esque store, but there was a candy shop thing in it.. i was with 3 friends of mine, but not the same people as before. This store was serving hard candy in a cup as if it were ice cream. later i remember walking upstairs in this building and i peered inside this room where businessmen were sitting and chatting. this happened a couple times. i soon wake up.

I wake up in my first dream again, where one friend of mine says "why would u go to bed!" i guess cause thats a waste of the shrooms. even though this idea of being on drugs was more or less a idea that was in my head in the dream.. i didnt ever remember indulging in them.

i wake up in reality soon after that. but the whole idea that i remember my dreams in a dream within a dream (and how clear it all was!) was pretty cool.

Interesting but its not really anything more than backwards FA...

Though it would be pretty awesome to have same type of time dilation as in inception.
:shadewink: unless of course you could somehow extend your time as lucid this way...

actually its just a dream scene change, it's not actually a dream-in-dream. When you Had the FA your Sub-conscious remembered "falling asleep" it then projected that scene back onto the environment

yeaah, but to keep it simple i was in a dream.. layed down.(fell asleep) had a dream, woke up in the same dream scene i 'went to sleep in' and remembered the dreams i had. then woke to reality. so it is *LIKE* having a sleep period in a dream.. anyhow

and to DreamState66 : haha inception! crazy stuff eh

I had a dream recently where I fell asleep on some bleachers near the football field, then i had a dream where i knew i was fully lucid dreaming but i thought i was still on the bleachers. Then I woke up and posted it on dreamviews. Then I woke up lol.

I have dreams like that sometime. The other night I even had a lucid one and in the dream-within-a-dream part (for lack of a better phrase) I heard voices coming from nowhere and it turned out to be the IRL tv, but it reminded me of the music playing in Inception :P Of course I know its probably not actual dream layers, but just a dream, but its still cool.

I remember having a dream within a dream, I bought weed from some guys and then went for a walk , the next view is me staying up from the bed and the weed still in my hand, I quickly knew that I was dreaming though I was still dreaming , I didn't think about making any RC , I went to the Sofa and tried the weed from the previous dream, It didn't work Ironically !
The next view is me staying up from the bed ( for real this time ) ..
