Thread: First LD induced by a friend in my dream!

I'm new to these forums so I figured my first post should be my first lucid dream! I've been lurking for a while now, so I've learned all the techniques and whatnot already

I've been keeping a dream journal for about half a month now, that's about how long I've been interested in LDs. I read in a thread that it helps to do reality checks often IRL so that you can get used to it and hopefully execute one in a dream by habit. So I began doing this!

My first LD happened last night. I had a few regular dreams beforehand. I was in a store with one of my friends, Lawrence, when he looked right at me and said, "Time to do a reality check!" with a huge grin on his face. I did the one where you plug your nose and blow out, and it failed! At first I thought, "Wait, I must not be closing my nose tight enough, there's no WAY this is a dream." But sure enough, I was! I think I got too excited after that, because as I started to look around the store, everything began flashing. I looked at my hands to see that I still had the same amount of fingers I tried to do a dream spin, but ended up actually turning my body IRL and waking myself up xD

So there you have it! My first LD!
