What you said supernova, about that sound-sign for lucidity, might work very well if you made a specific, typical sound and somehow very strongly associated that with Lucidity. If you listened to that sound over and over, learning yourself that This sound is the sound of Lucidity. And when you hear it you immediately wonder if you are dreaming and do a eality Check. If you've learned very well to recognise that sound as a sign to Become Lucid and do an RC, you are likely to recognise it even when you're dreaming. Maybe the Lucidity sound could be a decent bit Louder than the rest of the Mysterious drummer track so it stands out.

I've just thought of a way it can also help to stay conscious while falling asleep.
Many people count to 300 while falling asleep, hoping to stay conscious. I and many others find it difficult to focus on something so boring.

So instead of focussing on endless counting, you could focus on the beat of this track and imaginatively drum along instead of counting numbers.
I myself find a beat an easy thing to focus on. I can stay focussed on a beat for as long as I want and no one can disturb me if I don't want to be disturbed. It's a sort of autist, dissociated trance.

Maybe other people will also find this beat, or any other imagined beat, easier to focus on to stay conscious during WILDs than counting.

I fell asleep the last 3 nights with this track playing on repeat all night.
I found it really effective at putting me to sleep faster. Also I found it to boost my dream recall. Maybe because with the track playing I wake up very very gradually and slowly, instead of suddenly and abruptly. Maybe that's why the last 3 nights I had so much better dreamrecall than I usually have.

If any of you could download my track and try falling asleep with it playing nonstop and come back here to post results on how it influenced their dreaming and dream recall that would be helpfull.

This track is merely a try out.
Me trying to create something auditory that is successfull at emptying and focussing your mind. Something easy to stay aware off while falling asleep and WILDing.

Where this may fail to do that properly I wish to improve and make a better auditory loop. Be it music, or synthesizer sounds, repeatative beats, or whatever sound.

What sounds are we unlikely to loose awareness of, even while falling asleep?
Alarming sounds? Yet not too alarming to keep us from sleep? Something exciting yet at the same time relaxed enough to fall asleep to? A Very high pitched constant note?
I was hoping you guys could help me out with that.

Perhaps the drummer-track has been thrown of the server of the host. Maybe they only host files for short periods? I dunno. I wil fix that later.

yea, I'll definately let you know. Charging my zune as we speak, but I need to find a way to get it into my library. If I can't I'll put it on my phone so no worries.

That's actually pretty cool. Don't know how it would work as a lucid aid, but very cool none the less

Well, unfortunately I cannot give you any good news. It didn't give me a WILD, but a lot of the blame could be on me, because after about an hour I took out the headphones and an hour later I've still yet to have a WILD.

Well the initial idea was to listen to the music while falling asleep and trying to not loose awareness of the Music untill you find yourself in a dream.

But that is still a very weak, unevolved concept. Maybe you people can help me evolve it into something more effective.

Well maybe you can still call it an aid because it does make the time fly by. just a thought.
