Thread: How to accomplish anything even if your inexperienced

So we've all had the problem where we cant fly, or we cant teleport, or something else.

This is easily fixed using the Belief Scoring method.

First, you must understand how belief scoring works. Once an idea is conceived, it must believed in before it will become reality, so you must find your belief score. Most beginners have a belief score of about 25. (Keep in mind that these statistics are make believe, but if you choose to use them, they will help you.)

Lets just say that...

Flying costs 20 BT(Belief tokens)

Teleporting costs 30 BT

Becoming invisible costs 40 BT

Transforming costs 70 BT

Now, everytime you need to do something, but it cant be done, you must find it's price tag. If you cant see it, just close your eyes, and when you open them, it should be there.

So lets say you want to fly a bike. You hop on the bike, and it wont budge. Close your eyes, and then open them. The right handle has a price tag that says (75 BT)

All you have to do is change the number on the tag.

TO do this, stare at the tag and repeat the number you want it to be changed to in your mind. Close your eyes, and open them. It should now be the number you want. Make it a really low number, like 5.

Voila! You should now be able to take off.

You see, using this method of belief currency can make things a WHOLE lot easier. Because, if you believe that the belief currency will work, it will! Plain and simple. Such are the laws of lucid dreaming. I you have doubts, it may, or may not work.

That's hilarious. You assume that somebody would be able to believe in a system that encompasses every single "impossible" thing in lucid dreams, but they would put the effort into believing in that, instead of just believing that they can, lets say, fly.

I mean, I read your entire post, and up until you said that I took it somewhat seriously. But then you say that you have to believe in something which helps people with trouble believing.

Honestly, this system is incredibly overcomplicated. Putting tags on things that say how much you have to have in belief-points or whatever? Then making it into a smaller number so you don't have to believe as much? The only way this works is by distracting someone from the fact that the thing is impossible.

It goes against all logic too. Belief isn't a currency, and I'm not going to turn it into one.

Anyway, the best way to do things in dreams that are "impossible," just think, "I can do this because it's a dream." Some people say that will reduce the realism of your dream or some stupid shit like that, but nothing will happen if you don't over-think it.

This is counter productive, and should promptely be locked and even deleted. You are impressing upon the newbies that their dreams have limits. They do not. This is building up expectations and intentionaly letting them down, just to build them up again. I hope nobody else sees this.

No and no.

I'm not saying this is a perfect system, but ITS good for people having trouble. What I meant was, if you take the system seriously, it should work for most things. It's make belive, of course! Belief isn't currency. It's your belief that the currency can act as belief that effects the matter. I'm not saying that belief is currency, I'm just saying that you can imagine that it is, and the system should normally work quite well.

Summed up, this is more of an aid to help improve someones confidence that something will work. Of course, it has flaws. Improvements would be helpful...

Why not just have confidence in the actual ability to fly in the first place?

That would be great! Problem is, some people don't. I mean, this post wasn't aimed at experienced users like you. It was aimed at beginners, or people who are simply having trouble.

All I am saying is that the belief and confidence required for this is far beond that required to preform the actual act in the dream. Even a noob is 100% sure he can do anything in his dreams untill someone tells him he can't.
