well my brother introduced me to a combo of valerian root, b6, and melatonin, which in his words "gave [him] crazy ass dreams"
so i figured id try it
first night, i was camping and sick, woke up maybe 9 times so it didnt work
i went out and bought me some of each.
tonight i took them and i'll report tommorow on how my dream was
      the combo is:
      b6 1000mg
      melatonin 5mg
valerian root 350mg(i bought 400mg since thats all i could find.

You were cramping? I don't mean to laugh but I don't even know why I found that funny.

Interesting though. What are these supplements typically used for?

Holy crap! 1000 mg of B6?! If we don't hear from you again, I'll know why.

I don't know about the other things, but I'd recommend toning the B6 down to about 100 mg.

I think you will be fine as long as you don't make this a regular thing. I agree that 1000mg of B6 sounds like waaaay too much. If I were you, I'd do this no more often than once every 3-4 weeks.

      1000 mg of B6?
Is that a typo? Did you mean 100?

If not wouldn't it have been safer to start with 100 mg and worked your way up and kept track of how the upped doses affect your dreams instead of diving right in wiht 1000?

Anything over 250mg of vitamin B6, causes neurological toxicity, and will start to give you numbness and tics.

You will have pain in your lower extremities, and lose feeling in your limbs.

A gram of b6, thats just too much.

The max Ive ever had, and I have VERY high tolerance to pretty much everything, was 300mg. And after that ive been using 200-250mg, because when i took the 300mg, the next day my legs were aching and i had slight numbness in my fingers.

If you die, Im sorry; always research before you pop any pills.

well i do agree 1000 was way too much, i got barely any sleep. my body tingled all over and my fingers were numb. i read up a little bit on it, but couldnt find too much. a bunch of unsure answers is all i got. but throughout the night images just kept flashing in front of me, while i was wide awake, and my brain was thinking 100mph. not a pleasant experience, especially since i woke up at 7 and worked 12 hours today, on maybe 3 hours of sleep. i didnt have any side effects today besides being groggy as hell from lack of sleep. ill try again tonight at 200mg of b6. 5mg of melatonin and 400mg of valerian root. if this doesnt work well ill up the melatonin and valerian, but i doubt it will do anything.

heyy, Guys you've just stumbled across something really great. I found a e-book on enhancing dreams to the core with supplements. If I retrieve the link I'll post it here on this forum.

When I first started taking vitamins, the 2 mg of B6 in my multivitamin was enough to make me lucid. (Only worked once though), now not even 100 mg is working, though I am having awesome recall from it, and epic long dreams. More nightmares though.

I've never heard of Valerian root, but it looks like it just suppressed REM sleep and has GABA in it. Melatonin is also a REM suppressant so I don't think you need both.

Read this for some good combinations.
