      Addiction to Soda

I have been drinking coke since I was about two and am addicted and drink enough to where it does not affect my ability to fall asleep.

I've seen that soda can help with attaining lucids, but was wondering if there is a level where it is just too much.

I have been having a little trouble with recall, and I started having trouble when I started buying cokes instead of just getting one a day with my school meal plan.

So does anyone know if it is just a coincidence or that too much of a good thing can be bad?

      Moved to lucid aids.

I have never seen soda as being a lucid aid. I think no soda would be better than any soda.

Well, personally, I don't consider soda a good thing (though it feels so good), but too much of a good thing certainly can be bad.

I don't have much experience with soda and recall, but it seems reasonable to me that the sugar (and god knows what else) could be affecting you.

The caffeine will result in wilder REM. You will be more awake, so your sleep will be shallow, which can produce great lucid dreams. It also means you'll wake up easily though. And try to cut back, that shit really isnt good for you ;P

I used to drink Soda almost everyday, when I decided I wanted to quit and move to something healthier. When I ended up quitting, I ended up having more lucid dreams and better dream recall. It could be just me, but soda never has helped me with lucid dreaming.
